Unless I'm missing something (entirely possible, I know!), it looks like we haven't started the mealplan thread yet this week, so I shall I go first?
This week I've got:
Friday - pork and mushrooms in creamy mustard sauce with leek mash (many thanks to whoever it was on this board who gave me that idea )
Saturday - a very non-OS takeaway
. I haven't even decided yet what variety of takeaway it's going to be.
:o
Sunday - champys' rabbit chasseur with purple sprouting broccoli, and herb foccacia
Monday - steak and ale pie, more purple sprouting broccoli and root veg mash
Tuesday - cheesy tuna pesto pasta - so simple but so good
Wednesday - mixed veg biriani (well, curried rice, anyway!)
Thursday - king prawn satay with spicy veg noodles
I'll be doing some baking this weekend - I'm going to try my hand at a hot cross bun loaf in the breadmaker, and will have to find some sort of use for the huge pile of pears I've ended up with - pear eve's pudding, possibly?
What's everyone else going for this week?

Thanks for starting the thread, CCP. Chez champys, the offering will be as follows:
fri - chicken legs roasted in sweet chili sauce, couscous, vegetables
sat - lamb's lettuce, smoked herring and apple salad
sun - had wanted a guinea fowl, but were all sold out as they had been on special offer. Must be a typical French Easter thing. Instead, also on special offer, got a nice small-ish leg of lamb. To be roasted, and served with roast spuds and braised chicory. Trifle for pudding.
mon - chicken, ham & mushroom ragout, rice, salad
tues - falafel (brought forward from last week as I didn't have any yoghurt for the sauce)
wed - special mash of caramelised onions, carrot and potatoes - served with grilled black pudding
thur - 'plov' (the national dish of Uzbekistan), which is a rice pilav made with lamb
fri - trout with carrot and fennel (or alternatively fish cakes)
sat - vietnamese chicken in SC
Happy Easter everyone!"Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0 -

Friday - pork casserole (in slow cooker now)
Sat - roast chicken ( will bake bread at same time)
Sun - chicken curry
Mon - chicken and sweetcorn crepes
Tues - tuna fishcakes
Wed - Out

Hopefully all I need to buy are onions, butter and some milk so looking at low spend week.
Have managed to save a portion of pork casserole for freezer and made some lentil soup too. As going out for lunch today may move fishcakes to tonight and roast chicken tomorrow.
Further update - as bread turned out well and had soup as well managed to stretch the chicken further so going to use some in the slow cooker to make morrocan style chicken for the freezer.MFW 91 op 2014 £410/1000
