is be unlimited isp any good

Options
I am current with AOL (Talk Talk) and my current open contract is £9.99 per month for 2mbs (40gb fair use policy) which I have been quite happy with, but recently I have had trouble watching things like BBC iplayer as my connection is now too slow for that, while looking at other internet providers I have come across be (un)limited which would offer me 8mbs with a 40gb cap for £7.50 per month which seems too good to be true, does anyone else in Britain have be internet and have any comments on it, also do they have an Indian call centre.
I am sure AOL would reduce the price of my internet and increase my speed to match be to keep me as a customer, so is be better than AOL if so why ?

I migrated to BE Value a month or two ago, and so far it's been very good and I'd certainly recommend. Their call centre is in Bulgaria, I've not had cause to use it, but from what I've read they're very helpful and efficient.

If you do sign up make sure you use QuidCo or TopCashBack for £40 cashback.

are you on the 40 gig package or the unlimited one?
I dont use AOL.s indian call centres much but I have trouble understanding their accents.
I have never heard of quidco or topcashback but it would be worth googling I suppose if it means £40 back, how do they work?

I had a quick look at topcashback and as I buy a lot online this could really save me money - thanks

I'm on the 40Gb package. I'm too far from the exchange to get more than 8 meg download, so the only criterion for me was monthly allowance. Since I've never used more than 20Gb a month, the 40Gb package should be fine for the moment (though it's currently unlimited until the end of June).

Compared to my previous provider BE Value is around 90% faster, the monthly allowance is 60% greater, cost has fallen by 55%, and it seems reliable enough.

2Mbps should be enough to support iPlayer. What speed are you actually getting at present?
    https://www.speedtest,net.
Be are an excellent ISP, but they will not magically jump you to 8Mbps if your line cannot support it, It's up to 8Mbps.

They were bought by O2 a couple of years back so it is the same service O2 offer but branded differently. You are better just searching as the question is asked weekly with the usual majority positive response

I have checked my speed loads of times and this is the result
download speed 1.8 mbs, upload speed 0.2 mbs, so it seems fine, I have also checked what my line can handle on the B.T website and the result was it could handle 5 mbs, but I also checked it with the be unlinited tool (its on their homepage) and it told me my line was capable of handling upto 13 mbs as they use ADSL 2+ (or something like that), but its just that I had a contract with AOL to supply me with 2 mbs as an upgrade to my old contract which was 1 mbs, but my contract has now ended and I am considering leaving AOL

Yes, if BE use ADSL2+ on your exchange (samknows will tell you this), it can increase your speeds, but unlikely that it will go up as high as 13Mbps from a limit of around 5Mbps at present.
However even at around 5Mbps Be is still vastly better than AOL, so I wouldn't hesitate to switch.
