Proud to announce that my strawberry Plants bought from J Parker and received on 17 March are now starting to flower
Already repotted most of them too or put them in home made planters.0 -
Not sure if this helps anyone, but my local Lidl (so presumably most others?) are selling 6 packs of strawb plants 18cm tall for £2.99 from this Thursday, the 29th.
Savemoney-I think your planters look fab.Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0 -

The last lot of strawberries i got from Lidl where really healthy plants & are doing really well the new Fothergills ones that arrived saturday are looking a bit sorry for themselves at the the moment but i'm sure like everyone else who ordered them is saying they will pick up soon.0 -
mine arrived on monday along with the tom plants i ordered
again the strawbs did look sorry for them self too but there now in and well see how they go
i suppose for 2.95 if we get any its a bonus - The toms however do look good and there all in so again fingers crossed ty again OP for the find0 -
I ordered two lots of these strawberries. They arrived at the end of last week and I soaked them overnight before planting in hanging strawberry planters. When they arrived they looked dead, with brown droopy leaves and looked beyond saving in my opinion.
However, less than a week later they are all full of new green leaves coming through and look as though they will be healthy plants. Hope this helps.0 -
Most of mine above have perked up and brand new shoots are coming, seem to perk up quite quickly0

having received both my orders and planting them, i am surprised by how they have really perked up after just a few days!Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
NSD Challenge: October 0/140 -
After only a week mine have perked up and have lots of new growth. :j
For the price of a punnet of strawberries I'll take whatever I get from these as a bonus.
May Grocery Challenge £244.58/£3000 -
I couldn't help show my neighbour over the fence the state of them when they arrived they looked dreadful next to my Lidl ones & he said " they will be fine in a few days when they are planted up" & like others have just said they are looking perky now i can see nice coloured green leaves coming.0

I just bought the Lidl one's this morning and they look very good. Also bought one from Kew Gardens yesterday looks lovely but expensive! Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
