Hooray! I’m back! I haven’t been anywhere actually, but for some reason I haven’t been able to log in lately. The site kept saying “Thank you for logging in”, but as soon as the page refreshed I wasn’t logged in. So I’ve been here in spirit…
Our house is sold STC now, but the people we wanted to buy from are really messing us around – after having their house on the market for 18 months they’ve now decided they’re not sure if they want to sell or not, and they’re keeping us hanging. It’s so annoying – wish they’d just make their minds up.
Looking forward to the Easter weekend here – lots of OSiness planned! OH has a hankering for chocolate rice crispie cakes, so I’ll be making some of those today. Might make some muffins too. We’re also a bit low on dog biccies so might try some new ones. Would love to think I’ll get some cardmaking and scrapbooking done, but that might be a bit ambitious as I suspect we will be sorting out the house and packing away non-essentials. I failed dismally to make the mini-scrapbook in time for my Gran’s birthday, but she was fine about it. She was just please to see me and OH for a bit.
Right, off to ring the bank and pay off my loan (11 months early thanks to you WONDERFUL people!)
Have a lovely break everybody,

Morning all,
A bit late for me today, dd has finished school for easter, and so no rush to get her up and ready in the morning, bless her she is still in bed, they could sleep all day at that age, lucky things.
Off to work today, but last day for over a week for me :T, going to try and get dd'd ceiling done tomorrow, then get the nice chap in to paper one wall then she can move back in, she has been sleeping in the smallest room, which is painted a dark blue ( I think the previous owner had a thing for dark rooms) which we have christened the bat cave :rotfl:and she will be glad to get back to her own room.
Fish chips and peas tonight, just shove in the oven ones, so nice and easy, I also have a sainsbugs delivery comng, hopefully with a nice bit of beef 1/2 price :T.
Gemmabuckle, good news on the house xx
OK better get on, have good days all xx0 -

Good Morning All.
April 1st is a special day for us, it's the anniversary of the day we had our first kiss, and became a couple! 16 years now. EEK! OH has taken the day off today as he has hurt his back (not celebrating:o before anyone suggests it!) and will be resting. DSIL and cutiepie niece arrived last night, OH says she is looking fab, and at the age of 2 and a half can sing all of Tommy Thumb, which doesn't surprise me actually, as she's been speaking in sentences for almost a year. Wee smartie.
Work today, the boys finish school for Easter, and then we will most likely be off to see aformentioned cutiepie for a massive hug:j.
Gemma I didn't realise you had accepted an offer on your house, well done! Hopefully your vendors will make their minds up soon.
Weather is gorgeous here today Sunny and bright.
Diva can you please tell that LoneWolf to get her butt back over here, we miss her!
Hope you all have a fabulous day, hugs to those in need.

Morning All,
Bit of a busy day today. I got a phone call from the hospital late yesterday asking me to go for the final neorological test as they messed my appointment up last week and they have had a cancellation. Will have to go on my own as its too short notice for DH and he has work booked in. Never mind, I am sure it will be ok. Final appointment with the neurologist on 6th May so he should have all the results and be able to tell me what if anything is going on. I suspect it won't be conclusive:mad: I have just got used to living with these odd symptoms. Yesterday I felt like someone had pulled a tight belt around the top of my leg. Very strange!
Anyway I have been in touch with work and explained I would like to go back on 12th April but on reduced hours. They sounded fine on the phone, but I am very anxious about returning:( but I am sure once I get back it will be fine.
I made a chicken, leek and potato casserole last night with leftover chicken and we had it with HM Bread. It was delish, even though I say so myself and there wasn't a scrap left.
Taking DD to look at a local nursery for DGS today, we really struggled to find one with a place so hopefully it will be nice. She is still looking for somewhere to live but I suspect she is not in any rush and quite enjoying being looked after:)
Well very wet and sleety here. Hopefully better weather at the weekend. I am dying to get my green beens out. They are taking over the windowsill, and look like they want to jump off and run outside themselves:rotfl:

Morning all ,
An embarrassed wave from the Lowesy corner this morning - I might have had a couple of celebratory glasses of wine last night and I might be feeling a little like I got run over by a bus this morning. Suffice it to say, I doubt there'll be much witty raconteuring from me today.:o
So perhaps I should just offer some hugs and leave while the going is good - hope to pop back in later when I've woken up a bitxx

Morning all
Sorry been MIA again, I have been reading the thread on and off when I get chance but have been sooooo busy both at home and work so haven't been able to organise my thoughts never mind write them down lol!
Work busy as it is tax year end etc and Easter falls right in the middle of my busiest time of the year! Home really busy in part due to puppy Charlie who is absolutely adorable but very time consuming. Had him at the vets last night for 2nd injections so will be able to take him out in 2 weeks can't wait. Had some bad news though - it appears he has a problem with his eyesight and may have inherited catarracts (seemingly a trait in spaniels!) Vet has referred him to a specialist opthalmologist for dogs to assess (sounds horrendously expensive:eek:) At least we will find out what we are dealing with, he does see but seemingly has a focusing problem - which we have suspected for a week or so. Makes him even more special to us!!!
Good news though in the fact that we have replaced our ancient caravan for a newer model and are having a few days away in it over easter - so posting may be sporadic again!
Anyway apologies for any birthdays I have missed and Hugs to anyone who needs one. SunnyGirl hope your luck begins to improve - you have had such a year of it all!
JackieG - hope Coco is doing well!
Have a good day

Morning all ................((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one......
Thankfully its stopped raining and we have power this morning. There is a brightness but so far it has not developed into sunshine. Its very cold again, the wind has dropped to a breeze, so no more trees being blown over......
The tractors going out woke me just before 8am this morning.
Not sure what we are going to be doing, its far too wet to get out in the garden, I could do half the |friday clean I suppose, but whats the point of doing the boot room whilst its still so wet out???
We were unable to shower yesterday morning, so we had one before we went to bed. I am not sure if it helped me to sleep or not.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning All
I will apologise in advance for the distinct lack of OS-related occurences in our house today! WM is on and DW is on, DS1 at work DS2 in bed as is DH (he had a late one so is having a pre-planned sleep catch-up!) me and 3 younger ones have had toast for brekkie - I had painkillers and dizzy tablets with mine
Feeling ok ish today - have a few MSing jobs to do this afternoon and with DH as chauffeur they are not hard work. I have several jobs over the next week but have paced them so I'm just doing a couple a day. Although I find it quite disorientating to go in some shops and things I think I need to to 'force' my brain to compensate. I didn;t expect to take this long at work and really don't want to be off longer than I have to be. I do know that realistically I could not sit for 8 hours working at my desk.
DH's kids are going to their mums tomorrow and staying until Wednesday  which is completely unheard of - it's always been a struggle to get her to take them for the two nights a fortnight that she's supposed to have them but she has a new bloke who see's his kids every weekend. DH thinks it might be something to do with that....we view it with suspision (you would have to know her to realise she would never so anything without their being something in it for her) but the kids are thrilled so we just have to bite our tongue and keep our wits about us! Why is it that the absent parent gets held high drenched in golden light???
Easter weekend is close enough to smell the chocolate! hope everyone enjoys it...especially those of you that have given chocolate up for Lent. My friend (who has) was here yesterday and she looked ready to kill dead things :rotfl: slightly irritable due to lack of chocolate would have been the politer description!
Have a good day xClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Good morning
As usual I spend so much time reading about everyones news I then dont have time to post, dogs need to go out or something else needs to be done.
April fools day - yes well, today is my DGS's birthday (DD son). He really made an April fool out of all of us 9 years ago when he arrived at 2.15am - he wasn't due until 13th June  He weighed 2lbs 12ozs and dropped to 2lbs 4ozs in the first week. He was in NICU for 7 weeks before we could bring him home. But now at 9 years old I'm pleased to say he is a lovely healthy (and noisy) boy. He is smaller than most 9 year olds, but that is the only result of his early arrival. He is obviously meant to be here as he was an IVF baby as well. We will be forever in the debt of the wonderful nurses and doctors who looked after him, they are so dedicated to these babies. We always try to give something back when we can.
On a downside it was my DGD's birthday on Monday (DS daughter). As usual I sent a card but never know if she's allowed to have it. I dont send presents or cheques ( they dont get cashed), but thanks to my frugal ways put some money away in the hope that one day.......
Anyway thats enough from me, looking outside I see the flurry of snow we have this morning has gone and the sun is now shining.
Have a great day everyone (((hugs))) to all who need/want one
EDA - Gammon, egg and chips for tea tonight (forgot my bit of OS)0
