Sorry folks but I have bought a 400ml bottle of Garnier Summer Body today from Sainsburys although it was half price. Need to prolong the tan though and in all fairness I don't have any other tan moisturisers.

Anybody want to fess up to buying the Philosophy TSV on QVC today? Not for me thankfully, I've tried the three skincare products before and they've done nothing for me. Have come a long way though - there was a time when I would have probably bought this kit to try the new mask, shower gel and lip gloss justifying to myself that I would put the other items on ebay or makeupalley.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Tut tut! Good on you for trying to stop shopping there though :D You must have a serious pressie stash by now!

Just checked my reflection in the mirror at work to see how a foundation sample I'm trying is lasting (quite well actually) and noticed I've got really dry skin on my chin again, drat! I thought I was doing really well, and the combination of oil cleansing, my new serum, and a sample dior night cream leaves my skin feeling incredible every morning when i wake up, so I'm so annoyed about this.

To be fair, i've always had issues with dry skin patches on my chin, and I have a lovely LE moisturising mask in the cupboard at home. So i'll slather that on tonight, and when it's done I may have to follow the recommendations for the Origins mask :p

Afternoon girls, haven't been on for a few days, but got a few things used to report. Toothpaste used up and no spares in the house, so bought three for £5 in Tesco - it's the new enamel protection one for sensitive teeth, which around £3.25, so took advantage of the offer.

Finally come to the end of the body cream oil lotion aka goose grease trial (there's probably enough for one last application which I'll use up tonight). I have to say it's left my skin leaving really soft and moisturised, so I may consider buying it if I can find out for definite what it is - I suspect it's Dove.

Cracked open the big pink Lush box I got for my birthday and have used a floating island, a pink ballistic I've forgotten the name of, and got the Helping Hands out but haven't used yet.

And I think that's about it, unless DH has finished off the Origins ginger shampoo. Oh, just remembered, bought some cotton pads as I thought I'd finished the last off yesterday morning, and then found half a pack in a drawer in the bathroom.

Now I'm off to get my hair cut. Have a good afternoon.

what oils/dilutions are you using? Sounds like you need to tweak

I used to get all over face flake before oil cleansing, (at the same time as spots...taking combination skin to extremes.) thank good ness for me ''face dandruff'' is a thing of the past.

DH has used up a 5ml Lynx spray deodorant. Never even knew they came in teeny tiny sizes. He's got lots more to use up though. In fact he has another sample size one in his pocket (he's off to a funeral) yet I never saw them either time I did the toiletry inventory. Unless I just assumed they were mens perfumes. I shall quiz him when he gets home!

I'm currently using 25% castor, 75% jojoba - i'll change it to 20/80% and see if that helps.

To be honest, i think it's the night cream. I've also got combination skin, but it's got a lot drier in my t-zone the past few years (thank god!) and the reason i love/swear by Clinique DD lotion is it moisturises so well, and balaces out my skin - no oiliness, and no dry patches.

I don't want to stop using it, and only do OCM, as I did try that for a few days, and got horrible dry patches on my chin - though it might have eventually sorted itself out.

So although I like using a thicker feeling night cream at night, i think it just doesn't work for me, and I should go back to using the DD lotion day and night... Or keep testing things, and use up the LE face mask at the same time to keep my skin going! :rotfl:The Dior night cream is almost gone anyway.

    It all sounds good.

I would say a lot of hings that my skin LOVED a few years ago it won't tolerate now. I'd drop the night cream ad try less castor and then see. :)
  • Hi everyone, just caught up with April. I've made one purchase so far this month, some cotton wool pads for about 60p, I don't have any left so it was neccessary. I've used up a mini Sanctuary body lotion, which I wouldn't buy again, I'm sick to death of Sanctuary and a mini S&G Clean something shower gel which was very nice.

I've got quite a few shower gels to use up though so won't be buy any for a few months yet. Still saving a fortune, and I think I'm gradually losing the urge to go to Boots, I may be cured of my addiction by the end of the year.
