I've just telephoned the free number for account openings to ask if the rate is increasing to 6% in Sept. She said that they havent heard anything about this, and as they are the ''account openings'' dept. at head office then she would have heard

Obviously didnt say anything about this site or your posting Omar, dont worry! Just told her id heard it from ''a friend of a friend''!! Just not sure now whether they are covering their own back because they dont want people to know yet, or if it isnt actually happening? Does anybody have any more firm news about this, as i could do with opening an account ASAP but will hold off if i can get a higher rate next month?

I haven't applied for an A and L account yet, but have any of you actually got your quidco and referral money? I thought I read somewhere on here yesterday that A and Lwould not be paying out referral money when applied for through a cashback site?

Can you have more than one current account in your name? (ie. open another and bag the monthly saver on the way)

Otherwise do you have to close it for 3 months?
If so, will just get my wife to open one, bribing her with the £50 and then run it myself.;)

As far as I'm aware, you can only open the regular saver at the same time as the premier direct account.
