  • I didn;t receive the acceptance e~mail for nearly 48 hours after my application. In the meantime, i had rang their customer services who confirmed my application had been successful.

I applied just before 5pm on Friday and have just got an acceptance email. Great!

No you can't increase the amount, and no the first amount can't be different either, larger or smaller, hence it being a regular saver.

Hi BrumMan, only reason I ask is that there are other regular saver accounts that DO allow a large lump sum and DO allow variation in the monthly deposit. Thanks for clearing this up.

  • I was on the quidco site and was directed to the A&L site. I want to recommend my husband who wants to open a Premier Current ccount (1.5%) and a Monthly Reg Saver (12%). I downloaded a form which he has to send off when he opens his accounts.

Query:- How do you get the money back from Quidco?
  • They are throwing money at us!! I just saw this in the freebies board! £25 for a chat with them!!

advice please from one of you guys "in the know"

i am dumb!! - please do NOT confirm this :o

i opened a premiere direct account pre sept 1st...but i did NOT take the regular saver option when i applied online.

is there a cat in hells chance of them adding this option to my account? i want to do the full £250.00pm.

i am pretty sure i know what the answer will be. if it is indeed "no" i will have to look elsewhere for savings options, i did read something earlier in the thread about a Lloyds option, so maybe there?

    thanks in advance.

edit. another question too. i am a non tax payer and have sent in my R85's to A&L that i printed off from the website.

i did one for the plusaver and the actual current account. it wasnt until afterwards i wondered if current accounts can be set up as non taxable accounts!!

    advice again please.

You're supposed to specify the RS and the monthly amount during the application process. However, I *believe* (from memory) you have a chance to change your mind before you send the signed agreement back in the post. In your case, you haven't a chance.

    Yes they can.
