Anybody using chicken pellets to deter cats?

    Have found pepper or curry powder (whatever you can get cheap in large bags) helps a bit. I only bother when planting out new seedlings, as the local cats seem to like freshly dug beds best, and the poor little plants get flung around.

    Most cats go to soft earth and dig holes... But there are so many cats now that have to use litter trays ..I think they are the ones not bothering to bury it. I may be wrong though ... But I have chickens and the nextdoor-neighbour's cat lies among the chicken sh*t .. so I don't see that deterring them... Although he might have been there because I fed cat food as a supplement to the chickens' diet ...
