Frugalising hasnt been very good recently. Need to regroup. Off to read all the posts I have missed to give me inspiration. God Bless0

I used to be the same about the 3* = camping :rotfl:but I have lowered my standards A LOT in recent years. Needs must and all that!
Oh you should go though .. then you and Jayne can report back and tell me what I missed!

....and I'd be interested to hear what you think about Plum Village please:), I've heard of it - so know what you mean. Thich Nath Hanh (sp?) - ie place started up by him (Zen Buddhist stuff). I've heard a little little bit about it - so further info. would be interesting:).
I'm with you on the standards expected - so a comment or two as to how things are at that level would be interesting too...:)0 -
Hey,
I'm new on here but was wondering whether or not it was too late to get involved in the saving money challenge? I want to be as frugal as possible!!! Fed up of spending money all the time on needless things! :-D0 -
Hello F1manic I don't think it is ever too late to get frugal. Everyone seems to be busy at the moment with work ,gardens etc. so it's quiet on here. I would read through as many of the old posts as possible for ideas and ask questions on here if you have some, they will be answered at some stage. The links to the older sections are on the first page.0

Hiya + welcome back Snugglebum!
I'm mostly lurking these days but I do look in from time to time.
I've just switched gas and electricity and have been offered one of those V*rgin deals "get £60 off a case of wine, normally sells at £100 but yours for £44, which means luxury wine at £3.99 a bottle' - you know the sort of thing.
I've always been suspicious of the ad manso I'm inclined to hold back a while and take advice. Has anyone on the forum tried these deals? Are they any good?
PS FIManiac that's right, it's never too late!

Have had a bad weekend
...a trip to A+E :P sure my doc willnot be happy. Think it was too much coffee
Anyhow now just have anxiety and cabin fever to contend with and sure I have cabin fever from last week's paranoid hibernation. So yeah...first day in a few days no morning meds....saving it for as required later.
Only 2 things.....
How do you melt soap scraps to make one big soap bar...seems a shame to waste them?
And secondly what should I up my weekly cig and food budget to if I'm not smoking the worst tobacco ever because it plays havoc with my stomach and I want to eat???? (and eat well...not just khitchari EVERY night???)

Hello All,
I'm lurking too. Being somewhat frugal, just no enthusiasm at the moment. DS bought a new TV so DH and DS are greatly enjoying the World Cup. Shame that real life gets in the way.
Will be starting counselling in the next couple of weeks. New baby has brought some old feelings back up. Erme, you are my big inspiration at the moment. Love reading your posts.
Congrats snugglebum, welcome F1mania and wave to fishcake.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Hugs and prayers whitewing...it's not going down that's the crime but staying down (and you can stay down for as long as you like whilst you're alive so long as you come up one day
). It's one of my recovery phrases from years ago
