HELP!! 40inch Samsung LCD TV!

Please can someone help me, just sitting down eating dinner watching TV and it turned itself off then on again then off again and carries on like this.
When we turn the Sky off the TV stays on.
Switch it to another channel like the PS3 one and when you turn the PS3 on it does the same thing but not when its off same as before!!
Can anyone tell me what's going on??
Completely panicing just moved into new house and cannot afford another TV!!!

That's really spooky, :eek: I have Samsung 40" LCD and mine turned itself off and then on again about 2 hours ago, only did it once though. I thought it may have been a surge/spike but have the TV plugged into a surge protector so I will be interested to see what other opinions/advice are.0 -

Just checked and ........ you've guessed it exactly the same model (LE40M87BD) When did you buy yours, I got mine November 2007. Do you have yours plugged into a surge protector? I'm getting paranoid now that it's about to go kaput!

i have the 50" samsung mine has done this once or twice i thought it may be the sky at first0

No we don't have it plugged into a surge protector! OMG that is so freaky.

This is very strange/spooky/freaky! OH was playing on his Xbox when it went off then it turned itself back on and he just carried on playing :rotfl:
