I won, I won, I won!
edited 31 March 2010 at 2:50PM in I won! I won! I won!
I have been wondering about this, I have been comping for about 3-4 years, my first year was brilliant, second not bad and this year terrible. I was wondering whether people who have been comping for along time whether they have seen their wins dwindle over the time. I am wondering whether the marketing companies are getting fed up with same people entering the comps as the time.

I'd be really interested to know if I was the only one thinking this???

I think with the recession, more people are trying to get things for free, therefore "nicking" us innocent happy little comper's prizes.....:rotfl::rotfl:
  • Yes, me too. I've concluded that there are fewer 'big prize' comps and more compers...
Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

Yep I agree calash last year in my first proper year of comping I won about £5000 worth of prizes £2000 in the first two months alone.
This year it's all little things like biscuits and Koalas and chocolates

I was also wondering why my name hasn't been picked as a winner so much this year
Big Thanks to all who post on the comps board

My 1st year of comping I won 2 big prizes (big prizes to me is anything over £1k), last year i didn't win any big prizes but won 100 more smaller prizes. So far my wins seem to be the same as last year, more smaller prizes.

Good luck to you all and hope you get some wins soon. :j :j :j

I'm into my third year of comping and it still seems to be going well. I do think that more people are becoming compers though - and once you're bitten by the comping bug, it's something that's very hard to give up.

So I just think that more people are becoming compers over the years than are giving it up. x
  • I've been comping for about about 3 years now and don't think there's much difference. I have a big win the first and second years, not this year - so far lol.

It's difficult to tell because I didn't do as many the first year due to not being able to sit at the computer for very long. Won a laptop and started entering lots more as I was able to sit in the armchair to do them.

January and February of this year were bad for me but March has been brill. I find it goes in dips and waves. I wonder if more people being unemployed and therefore at home, means there are more people entering, but then I think you have to be a certain sort of lunatic to sit at the computer for hours on end entering - I mean, who'd do a thing like that ;)
