Started comping in 2008, had a brilliant ITV win that year. My 2009 wins were up on '08 (if you leave out that itv win) and my wins this year Jan - Mar are much better than last years. 100% up in value wise. I have noticed that my boys are winning many more competitions now and are averaging out at about 1 win per wk which is fantastic for them. Each month I think my luck will run out and I'm always so elated when the postie delivers something. I still get the winning buzz even after two years of comping even if the win is small.
Good luck everyone in your comps for the rest of the year.

I have only been comping for about 14 months. The first few months for me seemed excellent (maybe its because it was new and now i expect to much) i did notice since MSE made the "Comping for Cash" article thanks went from a few 100 to in the 700 mark on some things. I have begin to think they are "fed up with me" entering.

Because if i enter for a "friend" they seem to win. lol.

I've not really won that much yet this year. Although I have had a biggie every year since comping so I ain't complaining :D

I was wondering about the name thing too so (unless it's for cash or a holiday) I give myself a silly name every so often & change it regular.

I'm constantly spreading the word about MSE but most people that I tell just can't be bothered to enter comps. Or they do it for a few weeks then give up.

I've only been comping for about 18 months, (tended to lurk in Grabbit etc before) so I'm hoping I have yet to reach my peak!
Suppose my biggest win was an iPod Touch last summer, but have had quite a few other prizes around the £50 - £100 mark.

My wins have definitely tailed off this year compared to last year. I started in July 2008 and had an amazing October / November 2008, also had some fab wins during 2009 but so far 2010 has proved to be very quiet indeed on the wins front. I keep chanting my mantra to myself that you have to be in it to win it though and fingers crossed it pays off.

    I won, I won, I won!
Thanks everyone, I think I may try entering my OH and seeing how I get on, I'm sure the marketing companies have probably had enough of seeing my name entered to every comp going - I'll let you know if it makes a difference - it can't do any harm lol xx

Fingers crossed calash and everyone else gets a lovely win soon xxx

I've definitely noticed I've not been as lucky this year. I started in July 08, and had a great first six months, winning 2 lovely big cash amounts..last year I won a fantastic 5 star trip to Rome, and a big shopping spree. For me the best prizes were all the other lovely bits that I used as great Christmas pressies (e.g. custom made golf club for my brother, coffee machines etc)...this year, aside from a koala, and a few other small bits I've only won a small flatscreen TV..

I think there is more and more people giving comping a try, because of the current times, and I bet there is lots of people like me - thinking it would be great to win something because that's one less pressie I need to buy, hence very MSE...

I can't even win a £20 pre-paid visa card, no matter how much I use my debit card...

Hope the comping fairy comes to us all soon..
June wins: 2 x Robbie Williams tickets, iPad mini, £200 skatehut voucher :)

A huge thank you to all posters xx

I've been doing it a couple of years on and off now, seem to have near enough the same number/value of wins, but it feels like I got more in the first year or so because the excitement factor was slightly higher as it was a new thing for me.
