Paypal: Faster Withdrawl

Hi all,

I have done a search of the forum but haven't found anything so apologies if it's duplicated.

I have sold 71 items in the past couple of days on eBay after doing a massive wardrobe clearance of everyone in the house. Most have paid but a few haven't, not a problem.

I'm - after paying £65 for postage of the ones that have paid - a little brassic, so last night at 5 past 7 I started the faster withdrawl on paypal to cover all costs and so I can cover the others postage when they pay. that apparently takes 1-2 days so hopefully should be done by 7 tomorrow after begrudingly paying the £5 extra as with Easter and stuff if I hadn't it would likely be a good 10 days till I saw the money in the bank.

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it - how long it took/how good it was etc? Thanks :)

I've never tried it, and I don't think i ever would.
I think it says 'should take 1-2 days' which i don't have much confidence in.
I've been pretty lucky with Paypal withdrawals and they are usually pretty quick, around 3 days for me.
  • Afraid I've never used the fast thingmy.
But just thought I'd mention paypal postage, it's not ideal (only covers royal mail and parcelforce with no 2nd class option) but if you're having cashflow issues it could be useful.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

    Thanks very much :)

Unfortunatley (or not - depending on how it pans out) I've already started the FW so I guess will have to be patient and cross fingers :) None of the others have paid yet so it's not an issue as yet.

In my experience it depends on your bank and time of withdrawal as well as Paypal, some banks are slower than others at processing.

I agree with RFW. I actually find no difference with the faster withdrawal to the normal one. My business bank is HSBC and funds show up within 2-3 days on both withdrawal options.

I bank with Lloyds if it's any help, and a withdrawal any time on a Monday (for example), shows in my account Wednesday morning, which is really good I think. Never used the faster service though, as this is fast enough for me.

Ive always found that if it says it takes 1-2 days its always been 2 for me so I just use the 'free' withdrawl option now

found this today and sent some money over - my bank takes ages for paypal sometimes upto 5 days so I hope this is faster but its easter break soon so I hope it lands before then or ive wasted my time and money - says its via wire transfer but surely they could just use faster payments.

I realise Jomar is probably on a different timezone to us but they must realise it is already 1st today for UK customers? Sadly nothing has been paid in as yet.
