Good Morning All,
Cold and wet in Manchester, bit of sleet and some snow on the hills.
Happy Birthday Floss and Mrs MW:bdaycake:
Floss I love Paulo Nutini. He is on in the car all the time at the moment:D
Bargainbird Positive Vibes for the MOT
Stroppyjock the croissants sound gorgeous. I am WW at the moment so a boiled egg and WW toast for me this morning. Would rather have had the croissants though:o
I contacted work today and am waiting for them to organise a meeting so I can discuss returning. I am going to go back on shorter hours hopefully and just see how it goes. Feel very positive about it now I have decided. Back at the docs this afternoon who is very supportive. Still another test to have and then back at the neurologists in May but whatever the outcome its not going to change how I'm feeling so really going to try and get back to normal as much as possible.
Need to get much more organised now I am returning to work and meal planning needs to be a priority.
Well lost 2 pounds at WW last night so am pleased with that. Only another 2 stone 10lbs to go:D
Dinner will be using the leftover chicken and some broccoli thats on its last legs
Have a good day everyone:)Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Happy Birthday Floss! I have the Paolo Nutini CD - it's brililant

MSD - Mike is such a great name for a hoover! That really cheered me up. I shan't tell you what DH wanted to call the oven...
It's dismal and damp here today, but my spirits are buoyed a little because I got three hours' sleep last night! On the other hand, I'm also getting quite a bit of reading done as I can't do anything else (and it helps me to drop off). Just another day's resting here and I'll see what cooking programmes I can find as background noise while doing so.
Have a good day, everyone (((hugs)))

Morning-its quiet here today so far, hope everyone is OK.
Happy Birthday Floss & Mrs MW- have a great day!
Its cold and sleety here this morning.I am going to do some shopping at Mr S in an hour,DS1 has offered to drop me off & pick me up as he needs to get more ink for his printer. As that is on the other side of town it should give me enough time.We have hardly any milk or soya milk left for DS2-he's been using it for cereal this week, normally doesn't tend to eat it.I have had complaints all round as I thought I'd try own brand cornflakes, they've said switch whatever else I like but leave the cereals alone
My DB brought my niece over yesterday.Next week I am minding her for a few hours,so could do with getting some new felt tips as her others have dried up since she was last here.We played Junior Monopoly for nearly an hour,DB said the game was the longest they'd done- someone has a short attention span and it aint me or DN :rotfl:Then she raided my cardmaking stash to make some Easter cards- I try to hide the dearest bits when a visit is imminent but she beat me to it yesterday, but the card she made for me is very nice
Chicken for tea for 3 of us,turkey steak for the 4th. DS1 fancies barbecue sauce style.
I stitched all my squares together last night for my crochet blanket. Its big enough to snuggle under on the sofa, but not big enough to go on a bed,so not sure whether to make it bigger or not.DH thinks it would look great on a bed,but thats a lot more work.Might leave it for a bit and try something else out.
Better go and get the shopping done, brave the cold.Take care everyone.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning peeps
nasty and cold here today, i managed to take the houndies out earlier without getting a soaking but the sky is black and horrible so its on its way. I drove home last night in thick sleet, took me almost twice as long as normal to do the trip as it was very thick:eek:
Younger houndie came back from the park absolutely black  its taken me a while to clean her up but she`s ok now and i have a stack of doggy towels to wash, little oldie is snoring gently away on his bed.
I`m going to have a quick check on some supermarket offers pages and then i`m heading off out, i`m armed with a huge to do list today so i expect to be gone for some time, the housework can wait until later today as its my day off.
Happy Birthday Floss :bdaycake::beer: have a lovely day.
Keep safe and warm peeps.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

Good morning all!
Happy birthday Floss and Mrs MW - hope you have lots of this :bdaycake: and maybe a few of these !
A little grey in this part of the world today, but am stacked up on painkillers to try and get rid a 3-day headache  so even if the weather was nice I'm not sure I'd be out enjoying it too much
WM has been on overnight and I left it on this morning with some soda crystals and vinegar to give it a little clean out. Will be doing the Mr T shop for delivery tomorrow night, DD finishes school for Easter tomorrow afternoon so that'll no doubt have an impact on what I'm buying this week.
Tonight I'm planning on starting to de-clutter and re-organise my bedroom. I have far too many things that I like to still think I fit in, but realistically I haven't been anywhere near them for years :rotfl:. I'm quite looking forward to it actually, I love that feeling when it's all done, it's like a load off your mind
and you never know there may be some extra pennies in it as well, if there's anything I can find to pop on eb*y:T
Hope everybody has a good day today

I'm sure someone who is more techy than I will do a neat link very soon - if not I;'ll do it the long way!
Weather in our part of Northern Ireland is Wet n Windy but the electric flickered ominously all last night and around 50000 homes are without electric this morning with about a foot and a half on snow in some places. Being close to the Lough we tend to get rain where just a few miles up the road on higher ground it will be falling as snow.
Made a fabulous celery soup so that's for lunch today. Made a gorgeous fish pie for dinner yesterday and there was loads of leftovers which I put in the fridge for today.... I'm assuming one of the twins got hungry as there's just an empty dish now!
I have a chicken in the slow cooker as my veg box is due today so we'll have the chicken with mash or roasties and veg (depending on what's delivered).
Doctor gave me a sick note for another ten days () and tablets which are double the strength of the last ones so hopefully I might stabilize (literally
) a bit better...I have a h3ll of a sway on when I'm (trying!) to stand still :rotfl: Thing is I feel perfectly still...its only because I can feel the weight shifting on my feet that I know I'm moving!
Have a few MS jobs to do which I can manage with DH driving and accompanying me just in case.
Going to get organised and brave this weather ..... and I only intend to go out once today thats for sure!
Keep warm and safe

Happy Birthday Floss and Mrs MW :bdaycake::bdaycake:
Manc Milly Molly - Thanks for the news of your BIL, will be thinking of him.
jc - Hope your back pain has improved and that you've seen the doc if it hasn't! So sorry you have to be on tenterhooks again waiting for the trial, so stressful and even more so when you fell so ill x
Pink_winged and Zippy - Hope you are both ok!
stroppyjock - You certainly chose the right week to be on holiday after all! Hopefully it will have cleared by the time you have to go back!
MSD - Mike Dyson....I love it
Best wishes to Tris, I hope he gets his memory back
So difficult for him and all of you x
julie67 Hope the meeting goes well, I'm sure they would rather you cam back on reduced hours than not at all
bargainbird - Fingers are x'd for MOT
lowesy - Well done to OH for standing firm about the £1000! How old is SD2 (just being nosey really
)
maitane - I'm sure you'll think of a nice meal for ex-FIL! How nice that you get on so well.
JackieO - I looked out for you at Bluewater but no luck! Glad you got your shoes though.
(((HUGS))) for all in need of some
Not very nice out there this morning but at least it's stopped raining for the time being. All our bins (a total of five - 1 for non-recyclables and 4 for other stuff) had been emptied by 9.00, which is much earlier than usual, so perhaps the bin men couldn't wait to get the rounds done and be back in the warm. The Council took on a new contractor a couple of months ago, but the new company kept the same workforce on, I believe.
Haven't got around to breakfast yet so will do that in a mo - probably Weetabix. Lunch - soup, so I can dunk my bread in it and not have to chew much, as per dentist's instructions (no chewy food for 6 weeks seems a bit of a tall order ) and will do cottage pie for dinner.
Have good days all xxx
P.S. to those I cross-posted with
