OMG! That Steven King movie has come true! Christine!"I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0 -

Your thinking about Transformers, where the car stands up and attacks a man.
But I cant see what that has got to do with this assassination attempt.0 -

here's a bump for free :T0 -
This is all based on the idea that silver is now a better store of wealth than gold.?
on the other side of the balance we have
Is gold a more important industrial commodity than silver.?
I have a feeling that gold wins on both questions.
Just ask yourself if anarchy did take over and you were offered a small gold coin or a large silver one, which would you choose?0 -
3 years ago I remember Silver 1oz maples selling for £12.50 right now on the website £18 mainly due to the £ dropping in value...As an investor, you know that any kind of investment opportunity has its risks, and investing in Stocks or Precious Metals is highly speculative. All of the content I post is for informational purposes only.0

Excellent, a 3 year investment and, after VAT and broker costs, you'll have finally broke even. Excellent investing there RDB/Mr.English/whoever you are today. A further 3 years and you might even get into profit!"I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. Once again Harry you dont lose anything with VAT.
This has been gone over many times recently.
The price you buy new silver at including VAT is the value it then is if you sell it on the open market.
There was a challenge on the other thread to try and find any silver bullion cheaper in the private market than new. No one was able to.
I have been trying to, but no success yet.
Take a 1kg silver bullion bar for instance. The cheapest I can find from a dealer is
QTY Net* VAT* Gross*
1+ £458 £80.15 £538.15
http://www.bullionbypost.co.uk/silver-bars/1kg-silver-bar/metalor-1-kg-silver-bar/
The cheapest I can find in the private market is just under £550. But when I tried to buy it he said he didnt have any left. Im not surprised if he was selling them so cheap.
So can anyone find a 1kg Metalor bar cheaper than £538.15?0 -
Saw one in a car boot sale at the weekend for £400, bloke said he accept £350. Trouble is, he wanted cash, even though I explained cash was fiat money and most likely worthless in a few weeks time. I tried to show him a Muriel Roubini YouTube featurette but he asked me to move away in a rather abrupt manner. So can anyone find a 1kg Metalor bar cheaper than £538.15?
So to answer your question, yes I found one, but I didn't have the money to pay for it. I did however pick up a rather interesting Star Wars snowstorm paperweight and a 5 piece tea set (not Wedgewood).0
