Because I get free dental care anyway, I do actually visit my dentist every six months and still have ALL my own teeth; I was there on Thursday for the six-monthly regular check-up, de-scale and clean.

Because I reached sixty, I get a free DIY Bowel Cancer Test! They were pretty quick off the mark too, they wrote to me the day after my sixtieth birthday!

But how is that money savings unless you have been regularly paying for such a test prior to being 60 ;)

Do any hairdressers still do OAP rates? I have looked forward to having my hair done cheaply for years - but most salons don't offer them now.
Some of them want me to be a "model" for their trainees - but that's not quite the same....

When I was a child I think it cost 9d (4p) to have a hair cut. I have cut my own hair for the past 35 years, and saved a fortune at today's costs!

Boots Health Club - a extra to their Advantage card gives you 10% off all Boots products.

That means vitamins, as well as their make-up and 'lotions and potions' ranges, such as Number 7 and Botanics.

OH loves the Number 7 for Men lotions.

Odeon also offer the Senior Screen as well as Senior Tickets..

"ODEON Senior Screen is a season of films for our mature guests. Come along and meet friends for a mid-morning screening of some of the best recent films and some classics from over the years. Enjoy free tea and coffee before the screening and then relax and enjoy the film. The selection of films reflects the best of modern and classic cinema with a focus on story telling rather than all out action.
ODEON Senior Screen is offered at a discounted rate with free tea and coffee included. Ticket prices vary by cinema. "
