I haven't been able to access it all morning (again). Their service is getting worse all the time and never any apologies on their home page about being down. You can still access your emails through the back door by clicking on this link. http://www.mail2web.com/

Pretty hopeless aren't they? And I'm paying £24.99 a month for this!

So why not move? That's an insane price to pay for broadband, even (presumably) on a non LLU exchange.

The only reason I've stayed with Orange is that it will be such a hassle changing my email address. I'm always reading bad things about other internet providers and I fear going to someone even worse.

It's not a hassle, setting up a Googlemail account takes about 10 minutes; notifying your contacts in a group email, 5 minutes; changing your email address in a few online accounts, maybe 30 minutes. Say an hour or so overall. And you only have to do it once, then you can change ISP's as often as you like.
The alternative is to stay with Orange for life. Does that sounds more appealing?
And you can rest assured that there are few ISP's worse than Orange, they consistently come at or near the bottom in every survey conducted.

Thanks macman - I'm certainly going to consider changing. I still can't get to my emails - how long can it take them to fix the problem? It's fortunate I'm not using it for business purposes.

Spend the time instead opening a Googlemail account and asking Orange for your MAC, then you'll be ready to switch.
