Congrats on being pregnant! No matter what, you need to keep leading a healthy life and put aside the problem of over eating. Don't take care too much about that. Eat as you need, eat as you want.:ji love to be loved by you:j0

Thanks everyone, feel a bit better about it all now. I'm on the pregnancy multivitamin things and generally eat a healthy diet so the extreme hunger has taken me by suprise, as soon as I put my fork down my belly starts rumbling again, grrr. I had a really bad thirst for about a week and could have drunk a puddle like a dog at one point but that's wearing off, I'm basically exhausted and hungry.
Nice to know I'm not abnormal, or no more than usual. Thanks guys!:staradmin0 -
I'm 13ish weeks pg and my belly rumbles every hour like I haven't eaten all day! Thing is it goes hand-in-hand for me with feeling constantly nauseous. I find just eating often helps because it does help to allay the nausea for about half an hour_pale_
It's normal btw, I remember eating HUGE quantities of food with my others and I didn't keep on any extra weight after - I just figure my body is telling me something and as I long as I keep it healthy it's fine!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Starjumper I can only reiterate what others have said, if you feel you need to eat, eat. Its your body telling you it needs something. I've been exactly the same until recently(now approx 10wks pg) and I finally got the courage to stand on the scales, I've put on a big fat nothing:j:j So all the extra food(and there's been plenty!:o) must've been needed:D
And I was only craving carbs and fruit, maybe I just got lucky:) But it will calm down, and make sure you drink plenty, I suffered for a week or so before I realised it was thirst and not hunger I felt:o:othreemuttleys wrote: »as a side issue...did anyone else find their "Pregnant Tablets" made them hurl? doesnt matter what I take them with....still not good.
Started with the ones from Wilko (powdery ones) till one disolved in my mouth (yuck) so then bought some tesco ones, they werent so bad, but whether eaten or not...they dont stay down...why on earth cant they come up with an injection or something0 -
My baby book said that you only actually need extra calories equivalent to a banana and a glass of milk each day when you're pregnant.0

Relax and do what your body is telling you to! You can worry about your weight after the baby gets here. Pregnancy is too full of do this and don't do that. If you're hungry, have something (as healthy as you can manage) that doesn't make you feel sick and enjoy it!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

I can only dream of being that hungry...............10 weeks, and have hardly eaten anything for 3 weeks :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Still I was like you with my first. and I hadn't lost all the weight from her 7 years ago so no bad thing0 -
Eat. Then Eat some more.
I ate constantly while pregnant with DD and lost weight. Your metabolism gets messed about while pregnant so yes, you can eat and eat and eat and not gain weight (well, you do gain weight but it's baby related, blood volume). I did find that I couldn't eat a dinner, instead my meals were smaller but more of them.
Folic acid made me ill too, I took it right before bed and that seemed to help.
Just eat a healthy diet, it's not an excuse to eat a full pack of biscuits (ok it is, but you should have some fruit and stuff too)0 -
I remember that feeling.
I had a craving for potatoes. Baked or mashed - any sort of comfort food - I was there. I used to spend the morning throwing up and thinking about my lunch. And spend the afternoon throwing up and thinking about my dinner.
Congratulations - and eat some food!"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0
