I'm not going to debate you, beyond this post, because you've made up your mind. You see something that seems inexplicable, state immediately that it's paranormal and then refuse to listen to reason when someone points out that there are other explanations. You want to believe and therefore you do. Your choice, but I'm happy using reason, logic and research rather than assuming the entire foundation of science is wrong based on the fantasies of a 5-year old.

As for your young friend's parents, tell them she can become an instant millionaire from two hours work. Tell her to take up the JREF challenge, it's what it's been set up for. It's one thing not being out to make money, it's another to refuse £millions for no reason whatsoever. If that money makes the family uncomfortable then they can donate it to charity.

But I guess they have other priorities...

artbaron - why on earth would a 5 year old (and her twin) have fantasies about pregnancy? and why would they be right when they tell mums friends or strangers they meet that they have a baby in their tummy? or whether it will be a boy baby or a girl baby? now, I really would like to hear your explanation of how the kids know the woman is pregnant when even she doesnt?

I wonder which of us has the closed mind? you are only comfortable in the world of logic and reason you say. I feel so sorry for you, there is so much beauty in the world which we have yet to understand and you are so missing out on it!
as for james randis famous million dollar challenge - would you subject a child to the testing, probing and media attention which would result??

yes they do have other priorities - raising kids who are well balanced, well adjusted, and are not ridiculed by people like you.

sorry for the delay in replying - I got distracted on other threads.
  • Why would they - er - because gullible adults make a big fuss of them when they do? Plenty of children have fanciful ideas like this. And it is ultimately a 50:50 chance of being right when someone is pregnant. To give them any credence, because of the changes in body chemistry, they could feasibly smell the difference in the woman.

Someone needs to tell those indulged infants and their rather silly mother that telling random strangers they are pregnant is not only rude, it could be offensive - why would a devoted Christian want a 'psychic' reading forced upon them from a child, or a Muslim, or an Atheist?
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
