mmm non pork bacon does not sound good! i worked at a jewish summer camp and i missed bacon soooo much. most of the other jewish camps had turkey bacon which sounds gross, glad we didnt! good old bacon buttie is in my top 3 favourite foods :D

It wasn't as bad as we expected, but I'm with you there really is nothing better than a nice crispy bacon butty.

Wow, you lot weren't joking about the stupid comments you have to make on the RE reports, were you? You even have to put a comment about your receipt!!!?!!!

Still. Done now. Hopefully I can get accepted properly now!

it is an re food shop. I just don't think it's fair tbh. I can't have my normal food because other people don't eat it. i don't see why their personal choice should effect mine.

My co-worker at work is a vegi. doesn't mean he tell's me to change what i put in my sandwhich for work or that i have to sit at the other side of the office if i dare bring ham in.

Sorry but I think you sound a little childish. As previously said it will be a franchise so it is completely up to them what they choose to sell. They didn't tell you that you aren't allowed to eat it, just don't sell it in that particular store.

You've said I don't see why their personal choice should effect yours, so why should your personal choice effect theirs.

If you put it like that knowbody is going to win unless you have two shops next to each other one Halal and one that serves bacon. I believe the withdrawl of a product on religious grounds is unfair as they are catering to a minority.

I also may be mistaken but i go into quite a few of these shops and have seen people who i believe will follow a certain religion that means they do not eat bacon in there and eating food. I will assume they are not following their religion correctly then?

I just think it's a sad reflection which i admit will relate to personal ideas and opinions.

What about golden arches then. you can get a bacon cheese burger? thinking about it i am a little confused. there are many bacon serving place's i use and many people eating in those places who apparently should not be doing so.
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

Welcome to religion.....some Muslims will be strict practising Muslims, others will be moderate, some Muslim in name only, same as you get strict Catholics/Protestants/Jews etc etc everyone who follows Faith does so to one degree or another, but I believe should have the right to a choice of places to eat - can you imagine never being able to eat out because there is nowhere which meets your religions standards?

I know that most places if they are following Halal standards certainly the chicken places tend to be able to tell you where the nearest one is which isnt Halal.

I have no idea where abouts you live but in my town and in particular the area I work in (which has two of the sandwich shops) is predominantly Muslim, but the shops are a franchise and generally they'll introduce these things because their customers have asked for it, the best way to get them to change back would be to write a polite letter to the store manager/franchisee expressing your disappointment if enough people do that, and the change doesn't generate the hoped for profits then they may well change back.

    I got it! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j

MG - when you got your's, were there any others in the NW?

For anyone else - Do React upload batches of jobs each month, and then rotate the location - ie, if I saw a certain job in a certain location one month, would I see it again in the next wave, or do they only upload certain locations each time, meaning that every single store has been covered in a 6 month period, or so. Does that make sense....?;)

There were none listed for North West area at all. I only got the tip off because it was listed under the wrong county.

I have seen the same coffee shop on React three months in a row and have applied for it each time but never get it. Hope that helps.

I usually type mine up in word and use the one there - it also helps with spelling!
