    Hi

Did my first ever egg shop today and would you believe it the store was closed for a refurb. Does anyone know if ESA pay for closed stores? It was a 25 mile round trip so hope it wasn't for nothing! I've called them and the person said they would let the supervisor of the egg jobs know and that was it.
Also, I have another of these visits to do and it is at a garage forecourt with a different store name (the S one), do I still have to ask about the membership does anyone know? I know they are all part of the same parent group but don't want to look like an idiot if they dont do it.

The brief and questionaire is the same regardless of the brand, its all the same group and they all have the same membership card scheme. You would be expected to ask about it because the 'S' stores are now the 'egg' stores, but they just havent been rebranded/refurbed yet.

Regarding the closed store, with all MS jobs that have a closed shop I have always been paid regardless of the MS co. Never had it happen with ESA before, but I would imagine they would honour the payment because it wasnt your fault that the shop was closed.

Not be MSing for long (6 weeks) and just had a query on one of my RE reports - it was a pharmacy one and it sounds like they are doubting what was said - i.e. what questions they asked me.
Have replied to the e mail but I'm scared I'm going to be "sacked" - is this common?
    Any help greatly appreciated!

I got a query from RE saying that the client was saying there were no male members of staff on duty that would have served me food so I must have been lying about everything. Never heard anything after I responded! 22222

I did an opticians today and as part of the test, they put orange dye in your eye. I've had it before and normally the only after effect is a little orange eye crust that forms a bit later on.

The lady today must have put masses of dye in my eye, as my vision had an orange tinge for ages afterwards. People were looking at me as I walked through the shopping centre and when I got back in the car, I realised I had bright orange streaks down each cheek :o I blew my nose about an hour later and everything in the tissue was bright orange as well

First merchandising job for FSS today and I had to site a FSDU and fill it up with stock. However it was in a chemist and they said they would do it and just left the FSDU on the counter as they were busy. Always feel really bad when the first job for a company doesn't go to plan :(
Here I go again on my own....

You might be interested to know, that if that is the case the examiner would have noticed they put too much in and will mark the trainee down accordingly. This is why the examiner wants to have a look straight after the trainee has finished, so they can make sure the trainee has done everything as they should have done, including not putting too much dye on.

There is actually a fairly large risk with using the dye and they are told no more than 2 drops, just enough to check the 'staining' and tearing of the eye.

Out of all the ones I have done, I have only had one that put too much in. And yup, the orange dye coming through your nose is a sure bet that the trainee used far too much.

But, its reasons like that, that make the fee respectable - to cover the inconvenience and discomfort that you may encounter.
