I agree with BMan about giving some leeway. Also, I concur that we have had more transparency so far from Helion than we are ever likely to see from most other companies.

As we all know, payments get delayed, even with the long-established companies. Quite often, the policy is that assessors do not get paid until the client has accepted the work, or even (in some cases) paid the agency. As has already been said, at least none of us is waiting for reimbursements as well as fees.

Yes we know that payment can get delayed, but if the pay date was originally the 20th, and then you get an email to say you will be paid this week, then you should be paid this week! If not then another email explaining there's a problem, and what it is, would be appropriate. I agree that there's no reimbursement to consider, but as I said previously, it's still time and travel and I don't think any of us do this purely for the love of it do we?

If I do work for some of the MS companys then I might do a job at the beginning of the month and not be paid for it until the end of the next month, but I know that before I agree to do the job, a\xnd that's the difference.

I'm lucky that I'm not in desperate need for this money, but I know that some MS'ers do it strictly to make ends meet, and if they're expecting a certain amount of money on a certain date then it could cause some people hardship, and that's not right surely?

Would someone mind PM'ing the name of the department store on the ALERTS thread?
I thought I had most of the clients with AbAi but cam't see any cafe visits.

    Thanks in advance.

Also, with the egg shops - do many people do them on the day specified or just within the time frame? The In Laws are chopping & changing their plans so I could possibly do some in the week :)

Where does the time go?

I think you should all give Max a little leeway here. ;)

It's a new company and IIRC the jobs didn't incur any outlay on your behalf.

He does come on here often to try to explain things which is 100% more than other MS companies do

And Yes, they did not get the Flights :)

I agree with you about giving leeway - as i've said i've given it the benefit of the doubt and taken more work from them this week despite the pay problems, however I can see why shoppers on here may be concerned about payment being received when it's been promised twice and not delivered.

Yes Max comes on here and explains things which i'm greatful for, but when I received an email Monday about not being able to pay me because of no IBAN (despite me requesting not to be paid into the bank) I replied same day to try and resolve the issue and as of yet have not received a response.

Swings and roundabouts really. Yes, i'm quite sure everyone will get paid, but it can sometimes be worrying and frustrating when deadlines come and go and when your questions get unanswered. Luckily this is not my main source of income but for some it is and they've got money for 11 + jobs outstanding.

I don't think that's strictly true really if you take into consideration travelling expenses and time. Whilst doing those jobs I could have been doing others for a different company, so if there's problems with payment then those of us that did these jobs will be out of pocket purely because we could have been out earning elsewhere.

I know Max comes on here, but he hasn't actually been on here since the beginning of the week IIRC, and obviously we are all still a little concerned.

Yes you will be "out of pocket" because you could have been earning elsewhere, however it won't be combined with out of pocket expenses.

A long while back (5-7 years) lots of MSers lost £100's of pounds from a dodgy company that got them to do jobs but then never paid.

Luckily I wasn't one of them.

So whilst you are rightly concerned about the "missing" payments, things could be a lot worse.

    Evening..

Blimey, were any of you lot spreading the word that no-one would get back in the country until 2012 following the volcanic ash... it seems every month people are on here suggesting Companies are not paying on time, have gone bust etc. etc... Yes Helion are a new Company and yes they haven't paid yet... patience is a virtue so they say... and if it turns out that there are problems then deal with them then, why keep winding everyone up on here? In my very long career with MS'ing.. all 7 months of it.. I haven't taken any notice of the ' we haven't been paid yet' brigade and I've been paid every month...

how's about we stop worrying everyone and wait and see what happens before we shoot the Company down... only a suggestion..

I agree with that things could be a lot worse and it must have been terrible for MS'ers to lose that amount of money. As I said, it's not drastic for me (luckily), but I just think that it hasn't been handled very well.
