Biscuits. I go to the car, give them a good slap on the door and return them saying they must have been dropped as they are all broken.
Actually, comming to think of that. i got a replacment and i think my mothers had them all......umm......shall be looking for those when i go home lolI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

I usually go for something like a sandwich, scotch egg, pork pie etc, have a bite out of it, take it back and say it tastes horrible. More likely to be offered your money back than a replacement then
Tip for any smokers out there, if the shop only has a kiosk type till arrangement I've been known to spend the rest of the reimbursement on cigarettes0 -
BARE PAYMENTSStill no BARE money in though.Another question, do you have to have the Iban No and Swift number for payments from Bare?
I had an email from Bare re payment for test job. It asked for my Paypal details or my bank details. I have worked for Bare for ages. I emailed back saying that my IBAN and swift code were already in my extended profile and that I wanted payment by telegraphic transfer into my bank account. I got an email reply acknowledging this. I checked at the time and my bank details were in my profile, large as life.
I looked at my extended profile yesterday, and my bank details are no longer there. Instead, there is a box ticked showing that I accept Paypal. I unticked this, and no option to enter alternative payment method details came up.
It looks to me as if Bare are trying to push us into Paypal. I am just going to wait and see what happens. If anyone finds anything out, perhaps they could post in this thread, please.

Perhaps thats just the way it is - if we all get similar gradings and no further feedback it is difficult to know what to do differently in the future..
Perhaps email and ask if you are worried?
hth:)
I submitted two virtually identical reports at the same time (same client). I spell checked both. There was a two point difference between the grades. I seem to recall being told that React would not enter into correspondence about grades. However, if I got an exceptionally low grade, I would certainly contact them to find out why. In the meantime, I plan to just sit it out: the proof readers are new to the grading system and it will surely take a bit of time for it to settle in. At least React have been specific about the type of deficiency that results in loss of points!0 -

Is that "money in the bank" or just their web-site saying paid?
My pay is still "pending", wonder if it is because (like Monkey) it's for flight fees and assocaited visa cost?
Maybe time to drop them an email to ask :cool:0 -
Morning all,
Just after a bit of reassurance - I've just printed off my briefing notes for my first ABAI job, and it all seems deceptively simple!
Are they just a reasonable company or am I missing something? I don;t seem to be able to access more than the first page of the questionnaire without completing it, so I'm imagining pages of odd questions!
Can someone please put my mind at rest?0 -
clippy_girl wrote: »dont worry, you can only self allocate a certain number of jobs yourself so people still need to apply as well. not sure where you live but by me there are always egg shops lurking and i get phoned constantly begging and they start off by saying 'i know you told my colleague you cant do it but if i give you more money will you?'.
i only ever get phoned by them except abai, who phone me and email me every month at least 5 times about a petrol station i once did! :rotfl:
hurrah my item is finally there for me to collect tomorrow! :T
that is incorrect i cannot self assign as they say i have not done enough jobs. i am not able to see the egg jobs etc. only onces i have seen recently are DIY| which I did , irish cinemas, leather goods in other parts of the country. so i am not allowed to see the freezers of eggs tea etc and it will be the same for anyone else who cannot self assign as we are now not allowed to see the work:(:(

I've always found them nice and straightforward. Is is a 'hardware' store? I've got one this afternoon, really enjoy them.0 -

Yes, that is a "feature" of their reports.
Make sure you read the brief well and you should be OK.
They ask for Left and Right so make a note of that!0 -

It is indeed! I'm looking forward to it as I need something from there anyway and it's just down the road.0
