It's funny because they're airside and only about 25% of the flights are actually going as scheduled. No one really knows if they're going to be flying or not - a lot of flights are still being cancelled and postponed. Seems RE are being a bit optimistic to me.
I've got a landside job this weekend. I've been delaying it for over a week! Everytime I got on the motorway it said "MANCHESTER AIRPORT CLOSED"

thanks - all I knew was they were open again so assumed fully.

ESA jobs were allocated within minutes so 7 jobs Monday now

  • Ugh got a burger job after work. Can't really face it but can't reschedule and probably get the sack if I cancel!

My pawnbrokers are still sitting in my requested jobs section.
  • Hi all. I've come back to MSing after 5 months off, and had forgotten how much I enjoy it! I've got a little question though that I hope someone can help me with.

If I go to town and do several jobs, but don't manage to get a food job for lunch, is the sandwich I buy for my lunch tax deductible? (Just my bread was frozen this morning, so I couldn't make myself some sarnies!)

I was thinking it probably isn't, but wanted to see what you thought!

I doubt it! My husband is self-empoyed full time and he can't claim for his lunches.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Wanted to check though, just in case. Thanks!

The teacher is probably very busy with her/his iphone during class and doesn't have time to explain things to his/her students and honestly probably can't be bothered. If it was me, I would have a word with the school. Your son is not receiving the correct teaching.

Please don't tar us all with the same brush. I'm a teacher and I work damn hard - despite what people say about long holidays and easy pay there is nothing easy about teaching and most teachers I know can be bothered despite the rigid curriculum, behaviour issues, unsupportive community and negative attitude of the press.

Sorry, I do get on my high horse at times as teaching gets a real bad press these days and people just don't realise what really goes on.

However, if my child was struggling with homework then I would speak to their teacher and find out what was going on.

I just had the most hilarious drive through experience. Slow timings and I'm sat at the last window waiting for my food. Food arrives but no receipt, so I ask for a receipt.

Next thing I notice is the manager who's just come over to the window, he looks at the screen of orders and goes "no, no, no"....pause...."did the (my order) ask for a receipt????" girl nods as she's finding the receipt. Cue the manager putting his hands behind his head and just goes "no!". Girl hands me the receipt, says a nice clear thank you and off I go laughing.

Right, annoyed now. Was in town today doing an AbAi job - missed another store as someone else had nabbed it before me. Just got an email to say it's been released!

Typical, as I'll have to pay to park again and its a return job so I have to wait about an hour and then return the item. Insert some swear words here _____________________ :o
