Thanks Spoon, i'm good again today & think the cake went down well, it all got eaten *slices up virtual fudge cake & hands it around*
Daren't say the c word incase LadyinVenice is about & thinks i'm taking the mickey :rotfl: but hope your day has been better today?
Oh & while i'm here better just declare NSD 6 for me today!! :j :j :j
Will be spending tomorrow as due to go for a drink after work, so have made a list of everything else i need to do that involves money & will try & cram it in tomorrow as i am determined to have at least 1 NSD over the weekend!!!!February NSD challenge 5/150 -
Declaring # 9 for today Spoon - oh no - it's an odd number  that means I'll have to go for another tomorrow to even it up!
Thanks for the info re: As*a Opticians Curly Girl - I don't think the one here has an optical dept but will check. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm like you I did choose frames that I wanted rather than go for some cheapie 'old lady-esque' ones and also stepped it up a notch on the lenses however figured that on a pay per wear basis it worked out at about 37p per day over 2 years! Was well impressed by all my points etc but now realise I could have earned £3 cashback from Q*idco from booking my eye test on line at D&A - now that would have completed my MSE experience! :money:

OMG how addictive is that snowball thing! Have been on it for far too long working out how much I could overspend/pay off and watch the debt disappear.
I love the snowball thingy, when I'm working nights I spend hours on it working out how changing the amount paid makes your dfd quickersolventsoon wrote: »

Today was supposed to be an NSD but fate stepped in . A friend rang and said they were coming over and, as we were out of milk, DH had to nip out and get some at the garage. Then after friend left, he rang to say he had a burst tyre just round the corner and, of course, he had no spare. DH went with him to pick another one up and help him fix it - but we had no fuel in our car so he had to call at the garage for some - we would have manage till tomorrow otherwise, when we spend anyway. Mind you, our friend did give him some money for the diesel afterwards so not too bad.
So my NSD was spoilt for the price of a carton of milk (which was 85p instead of my usual 49p !!!!). Next NSD won't be until Saturday.Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

OMG I am such a
!
I've just realised I've been bidding on two DS's on 3bay for DS2's birthday in June (one wasn't being watched for some reason). Sod's Law I've just got the first one after missing out on at least 5. Am now crossing fingers that someone outbids me on the next one! I hope they do as I put the same maximum bid on both and the first one went for that amount!
Not paying for it until tomorrow though so not spoiling my NSD:money:. Tomorrow is shopping day so I know I will be spending then.
Butdoineedit?: Feel free to use as many 'c' words as you like. 'Chocolate' and 'Cake' work very well for me

Chips, crisps, (more chocolate), c*rling (well i couldn't think of any other way to
make lager begin with C!), but only when it's not an NSD of course :rotfl:February NSD challenge 5/150 -
curlygirl1971 wrote: »CW18 - best of luck with your procedure. Am always slightly and wierdly fascinated by such things as I have minor probs with one of my eyes. Have needed no surgery and hopefully never will (If it gets to that point then it's Gas bubble injection and lying face down for several weeks...........don't think so) so so far have only had bits of laser 'surgery' which is easy peasey and seems to have done the trick. I can't drive for a few hours after that due to the drops they put in which make my vision go blurred for a while. Anyway - will be thinking of you
Nothing as 'fancy' as laser surgery though (I don't think) - they're removing a cyst from inside a lower eyelid.
Actually looking forward to the 'afterwards', as the eye in question has been getting increasingly lazy at wanting to focus in the mornings
Then once it's settled down, I'm overdue an eye test - and reckon I'll definitely need new glasses. But I'm thanking my lucky stars that I won't have to pay anything for this, as I have a WTC exemption certificate that covers basic frames (and I only wear them for reading, and not even always then). Did give the optician some concerns last time though, as I don't get on with small frames which was all they had in the ladies section of the 'free' ones - so I went for a frame that was meant to be for a bloke instead of paying for a posher ladies one
Well..... so much for keeping today as an NSD. When I decided that I'd totally forgotten I was working the 'close and clean' shift tonight - which means doing the reductions in the bakery and cooked pie sections.
Have come home with 2 almond croissants, 2 lemon swirls, 10 pick 'n' mix rolls, one plate pie, another 10 individual pies (one of which I've just had for a very late tea), and a cooked chicken. Total at till was £3.55, original prices came to £18.67 (the chicken alone should have been £3.99).
So I'm still stuck on 4, and won't be shifting off that tomorrow. Hopefully Saturday will be my nextCheryl0 -

- did you manage to get everything in your freezers? Good luck for the hospital appointment tomorrow, hope everything goes OK. Well done for not giving in with the NSDs this month :j- you could still get there, we’ve still got another 15 days to go
I will have a garlic baguette coming out tomorrow, and have decided we're having a roast of some sort on Sunday..... but I need to decide which joint will surrender most freezer space (have one lamb joint, one pork joint, one gammon joint and 5 turkey breast joints in there - suspect it will be one of the first three though)Cheryl0
