Now you are trying to lead me astray, dealwithdebtdot...... it did cross my mind... saw a lovely top in M&S that I was very tempted by but unfortunately I'm also on the crazy clothes challenge and only have £100 for the year - it would have blown over half my budget:eek: and I couldn't face confessing that to Lula:o:o:oThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Day off work today (im 9hrs ahead of you guys) and the NSD method is well & truely out of the window.
Just had visit to Dentist (how much?? *shaky voice as TWS reluctantly hands over the card to pay*
....followed by kind of essential but rather self indulgant hair do later (dont think even the free coffees will sweeten the spend....do I really need highlights!?)
All up, spent more money in one day than I generally like to do in a fortnight. But....onwards and upwards. Tomorrow is a new day, right??
*goes to ogle at the men in kilts again*
Ahhhh thanks so much for joining in with my spending confession, I don't feel so alone now. :A
Wow, I had no idea we had anyone on this thread who lived so far away from us, great to have you joining in and, yes, tomorrow is definitely a new day..... although your tomorrow is probably still our today.... spoon scratches head in confusion now......;)The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Hi everyone - verrrrrrry early today! Yes, I made no 5 yesterday - well chuffed!
Have really enjoyed the posts, there's loads of them! And I agree - they realy do keep the old spirits up! Just shows that even although we've all got our own personal reasons for doing the various challenges we have all got each others interests at heart too! It feels like a real community on here!:A
Will be small spend today, need salad stuff and milk but that's all really. Im thinking of a cheap cafetiere as I fancy some "real" coffee, but I'll not spend a lot on that
Thanks again Solvent for the great daily round up :T
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
Blimey jintyb I thought I was early! Yesterday was NSD number 5 for me too
A bit of grocery shopping to do today, need a few bits in the chemist too and 2 birthday presents to buy so will have to spend but with my new frugal outlook I should be able to keep it low :A
Have a good weekend everyone

This thread is soooo long already although may have to jump back a few pages to see what all the talk of men in kilts is all about :rotfl:
I have NSD No. 6 yesterday  I think I need petrol today but we'll see if we can manage until tomorrow so might get to add one more :T Can't believe that I'm doing so well this month as I seemed to spend every day in March.CC1 £5999 Total Debt March 2021 £5999

Hi all
Sorry not managed to get on for a couple of days, looks like I've been missing some fun!
Managed another NSD yesterday so now up to 3/7 :j
Wednesday was a spend day as had to go out for a family meal. Wasn't too bad though as I was expecting day to cost about £100 (there were 6 of my lot going) and ended up at under £60
Thursday was a spend day because I was (yet again!) tempted by Body Shop bargains  Did manage to get a xmas pressie sorted cheap though
Won't manage a NSD today as got to take DD swimming later which will inevitably mean buying drinks/snacks for other kiddies/Mum whilst there (unless Mum pays but tbh that's unlikely)
Hope everyone has a fab day!

Morning all!
It won't be NSD for me today but the spends are budgeted for...
Going for a much needed hair dye and cut (my only real treat left) this afternoon but that's budgeted for, and going to the cinema later with OH (providing he gets back from his mammoth planned bike ride in time) - one of us will buy the sweets and drinks, the other will buy the tickets.
Think its my turn for the sweets so may pop to Mr S when I go to the hairdressers for cheaper supplies for me - unfortunately he insists on cinema popcorn so will have to buy that there.
Otherwise no planned spending and tomorrow WILL be a NSD (apart from planned groceries from a different budget).0 -
Morning peeps
Didn't manage one yesterday as had to haul the shopping home but still keeping to my budget which has halved from my spendthrift days!! and nobody is starving, trust me.
Going out for a wee planned (but 1/2 price) lunch with OH so goosed to-day as well but have high hopes for tomorrow.
Next installment in the guide to Glasgow lingo with a wee nod to Stanley Baxter
This next one is very pertinent to BigMumma
Gonnynohingyerdrawersoanthatpolehen? = Please don't fly your big pants from that pole young lady
