If I don't, I had my first NSD yesterday, yay me, but I don't want to cheat - advice please??wit40iwtwan wrote: »I would like to go for 20 again this month!
Thanks to NSD's I have got into the habit of really thinking about what I buy and if it is really worth having a spend day or can it wait... often it waits and then when I do have an opportunity to spend I no longer really really want the item!
I try to stick to 2 spend days a week and then each of them is limited also. This challenge does drive my other half round the bend sometimes but he has seen the benefits with the savings we are able to achieve and the future we are aiming to have...
Good Luck to everyone on the challenge this month - it wont be easy with school holidays and Easter but if you walk out of a shop and actively think about the purchase it does become a whole lot easier to organise! The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

I like the running total idea Solvent, thats if you can keep track of everyone?! Cant believe how many people are on here now :j
I got my first one yesterday, am hoping for another today as I'm at work all day (Bank Holiday - whats one of those?!) and dont need any groceries. Also bottled 30 bottles of homebrew wine last night - they're staring at me from the living room floor, PS: has anyone heard from BigMummaF? Hope she's OK!
Oooh like the sound of 30 bottles of homebrew:D:D:D.
I emailed BigMumma yesterday to see if she's OK, not heard back yet but I think she mentioned she was going to be away. Hoping she's OK. Will let everyone know when I hear back from her.BlimusOreilly wrote: »Thanks Solventsoon for the new thread. One more NSD for today, having a wine and soaps night in my pjs so won't be leaving the house. Feeling tons better than I did last night anyway.
Tomorrow I have to do food shop and buy heads for my leccy toothbrush and other such glamorous things :rotfl: so will be spending. Sunday, obviously nothing is open so will be NSD to balance it all out.Hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you are doing. xx
I am declaring early that today will be NSD number 2 :j Just got in from work - cold, wet, hungry and rather bruised - so I am going for a long soak in the bath with a large glass of homebrew and am not leaving the house for the rest of the day.
dealwithdebtdot - the small festivals are the best! we hold a small one in my mums very large garden every year - approx 150 people, 8 bands over 2 days, great fun! haven't been to one of the big ones for years now.
Hope you've all got lots of lovely Easter Eggs to chomp away at on Sunday! xxslowlyfading wrote: »first one for me todayThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Hello!!!! :hello:
Can I join in too please? It will be my first time here so will start with just a few ... Can I try 10 NSDs and see how I go?!
I think I'll exclude all my bills (all paid by direct debit) but will count a day as 'no spend' if I've not parted with any cash or handed over by debit card!Hi JES_F1 and welcome to the April NSD challenge - good to have you with us:). I've enrolled you now, so you are one of us - keep posting on here and we'll give you lots of encouragement. Good luck for April:)NSD number 1 for me today :jfedupandskint wrote: »NSD 1 today achieved by not going out! Yipee!!The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Please can I join too - don't get much chance to spend when I'm working tbh - apart from I pass a huge Mr T's on my way home every night and have just found out I'm 5 mins away from massive Mr A's at new job (only started Jan so not found way around town yet!) Reckon I should be able to do 10 without too much hassle - especially having seen the bank balance this morning:eek:

Thanks LadyfromVenice and solventsoon for your replies, think I will allocate karate money on a Monday, which is nearly always a spend day for me anyway. Congratulations on your daughters black belts Ladyfrom Venice, I've seen how much hard work is involved in gaining them! DS is a green belt so a way to go yet, but he's loves the training and works hard so he'll get there.
Solventsoon can you please record my two NSD's days for April so far :j
