My main problem is organisation, 'procrastination' is my word of the day...always saying i'm going to do something but like True my will power is short lived....little things i'm fine and short term, but long term I struggle. They say that it takes something like 21 days for something to become a habit, hence nothing ever sets in for me
Couldn't have put it better myself Choccy!!Choc-addict wrote: »True I wonder if you've become ill has you have stopped?? If that makes any sense, you've been busy of late and I know when OH has a busy spell with no let up once he stops (usually on holiday) everything finally catches up with him and he ends up completely run down full of cold. Perhaps, once better, you can can do little things daily to getting sorted. Maybe make your first one to catch up on your OU course? That's something for you.
How are the debts coming along? Are they all sorted with agreed payments?
I did wonder that to be honest mate, quite often when the adrenaline is no longer flowing it lets the nasty bugs in!
I'm still waiting to hear from 4 or 5 of them, and Abbey changed their mind on one account but were quite happy on the other one so the quick answer is no, they aren't sorted but I know what I'm going to do and the banks can go swivel if they don't like itPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Hello lovelies!!
I am feeling better today, still got that nasty bunged up head thing that comes at the end of a cold, but I can get on with that!
Oh Kel, you are good! I have tried that, putting IOU notes in my pots....unfortunately they usually end up full of little bits of paper rather than cold hard cash!! Wish I could borrow you for a month to kick my backside into shape :rotfl:
Hahaha just thought of an awesome money making idea - organisational boot camp :rotfl: shame I couldn't organise a p*** up in a brewery :rotfl: actually the brewery sounds like much more fun
Aaaaanyway, thats enough waffle from me - the sun is out and its a bank holiday and I have a new book about the true story of MI5 so I shall be found reclining in the garden with a glass of wine and a spy bookhappy days!!

Morning ladies!
Happy - you're an angel, thank youxxx
Back to work in the smelly chip shop todayI really wish the hours weren't as good as they are so I could have a reason to quit - I hate it there but we really can't afford for me not to be working
ARGH!!!
Having said that, I have been thinking about what I could do to 1) get out of the chippy and 2) make money and I've hit upon the idea of training in hairdressing/beauty therapy or similar. I figure I can do the course part time at the local college and once I've picked up the basics I may be able to make a bit of dosh while I train. What do you think? Possible? Or am I being a bit daft? Wondering if I should just concentrate on the OU....'scuse me while I have a bit of a brain fart....Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
lol the brain fart comment actually made me laugh out loud!!
i think it is defintely worth looking into. If you want to get out of your current job really badly then that will be great motivation.
I hope your shift at the chippy flies by quickly! xOrange Fairy

I think that's a fab idea if it's something you'd enjoy, do it! I've always thought about doing a massage course as would really like to do that body and head massage....i'm actually looking into courses (well waiting for prospectus!) for local college near by where we are moving to maybe do an adult course - normally eves or weekends!
Keep chin up about chippy - think of the bigger picture and clearing those debts, it won't always be like thisxx
