I sit down sip some coffee and cast my mind back to pre moneysavers and think my god I can budget I have made SOME change and then I take a deep breath and I look I really look, when we first started we knew we had to make big sacrifces ie postponing wedding and budgetting down. I cancelled sky and went to very basic set up I shopped at aldi I reduced my going out for meals with friends I stopped buying takeaways and I saw a little difference I said in my head forget the loans it's the credit cards that need kick assing. I cancelled my gym and personal trainer I don't know how we did this stuff anyway! I was brutal but brutality was needed now I have my sky back and I us te jar systems I leave my neccessities in my current account and I seperate the rest only what I can afford onto the jars one for financial freedom and investment one for play to blow every month or every 3 month on me and longterm saves for getting debt free I stick it all in a jar and now when I get to a certain amount il use it to clear a debt I'm managing my money in a way that creates positivity. Yes sometimes it I crap but this jar thing for me has let me enjoy it abit more :-) xx chin up true xx happy to help if you want xI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. Hey lovely ladies,
Big hugs True, sorry you are feeling so poorly. Hope you manage to enjoy the film thoughI really want to see it but not sure i'm going to get time before I go away on Friday.
I think sometimes when you are stuck in a messy rut it's hard to pull yourself out of it but just take little steps and you will get there. Sometimes (if your talking debt) it's all consuming and can take over your life day and night, sleep or awake and that's very draining! Be kind to yourself lovely.
Happy your pots seem to be working really well

Hey lovies,
Sorry for getting all down yesterday but I think things are getting on top of me a bit.
I've always liked the idea of "pots" but everytime I set them up, whether virtual or physical, I end up raiding them - I have no will power! But its not just money if I'm honest. My disorganisation seems to spread to every corner of my lfe and I don't know where to start in clearing it up! Would be very grateful for any help or suggestions
I like your new siggy Choccy - great idea to see the figures going down!
Am feeling a bit more with it today. I didn't get to SATC2but I spent the day on the sofa sulking a bit and watching The Tudors, which I've had for ages and never got around to and its really good
I think we're going to watch the banger racing later today, I really shouldn't be going out when I've got so much work to do and I'm getting behind on my OU course but I need the fresh air!
Happy Sundayxxx

Sounds like me too! My main problem is organisation, 'procrastination' is my word of the day...always saying i'm going to do something but like True my will power is short lived....little things i'm fine and short term, but long term I struggle. They say that it takes something like 21 days for something to become a habit, hence nothing ever sets in for me
That said I have told myself time and time again that 2010 has to be a 'changing' year all round as fed up of my life just dragging along from one year to the next and we have the house (still seems like Aug!!!) so that's one thing and debts is most DEF my priority as I don't want to enter 2011 without feeling like i've done something to really get me on my way to becoming debt free.
Gosh a lot of waffling from me, I think for me the daily to do lists no matter how big or small keep me focused and I feel great when I can tick them off as done
True I wonder if you've become ill has you have stopped?? If that makes any sense, you've been busy of late and I know when OH has a busy spell with no let up once he stops (usually on holiday) everything finally catches up with him and he ends up completely run down full of cold. Perhaps, once better, you can can do little things daily to getting sorted. Maybe make your first one to catch up on your OU course? That's something for you.
How are the debts coming along? Are they all sorted with agreed payments?
Working overtime today so will pop back later xxx0 -
