I started comping 15 weeks ago and so far March has been pretty crappy :(.
I have won a Cushelle Koala (it started to get personal), a Cadbury's Cream Egg beach ball and a box of Thornton's Melts. I know it's better than nothing and I know that I probably sound like a stroppy teenager who didn't get an x-box for Christmas, but I have entered every competition going (except fo the text ones), even competitions where I didn't particularly want the prize!! I'm at home rcovering from surgery at th moment, so have nothing to do apart from enter competitions, but it is starting to feel like a waste of time. Am I expecting too much?

Edit - sorry that should be 5 weeks of comping, not 15.

5 weeks, yes you prob are expecting too much. Some comps might not have even been drawn yet. Hang in there, keep entering and you'll see some rewards x

Not been good for me since Nov 09 but been comping a long time and know it goes very quiet at times. Hope April brings my mojo back.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.

Keep at it. You will see the results but it does take time. 5 weeks of comping is nothing at all. As an example, the Hello Kitty Purse and Magnet I won last week appears to be from a comp from June last year! The R&B CD that arrived for me this month was from a competition that closed in December. I had a prize arrive towards the end of last month for a comp that closed in November. A lot of comps you enter today - won't end for several weeks/months. It can then take weeks/months for a winner to be drawn and prizes to be sent out. If after 3 months of entering approx 100+ comps a day, you haven't won...then I'd be concerned!

To give you an idea, I keep a record of the amount of comps I enter each day/Month (just a simple tally, totalled onto a spreadsheet). In December I entered 2976, in January I entered 3323, Feb I entered 3176, for March I have entered 2662 so far (but I am way behind now that I have started working full time). The longest I have been without a prize since December, is 5 days. If you put in the hours consistently the odds are stacked in your favour. Ultimately it is down to luck but you can do lots to increase your chances! :D

Don't give up those that have only recently started, be patient and the wins will come. Comping is meant to be fun and enjoyable, not a chore. I find it relaxing and a welcome distraction from "life" to sit filling in online forms for a couple hours each day. It's a lovely bonus when the postie then brings me something nice :p:D
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j
