Ok now you have added that bit Gonzo - it looks like I should stay with Eon and ask for the Fixonline7?0

sorry the reason i deleated the bit about fix online is because i just quickly did a recalculation with the fix online, and the npower one was still about £5 better - this being said the prices are fixed so will not go up for the next 14 months, ok they will also not go down but what you have to ask yourself is would you be more annoyed if you fixed now and the prices went down, or if you didnt fix and then the prices went up
just a quick edit, you usually get a 14 day cooling off period when swopping gas and elec suppliers so as long as you are within that it should be easy to take npower up on the better offerDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Yep - she broke it at school.
The school nurse just called and I was very calm and very matter of fact but very insistant that there are steps missing in their policy in dealing with incidents like this. She was in tears, very apologetic but that doesn't make it any better. I asked why I didn't even get an accident report form home, let alone a phone call at 11am when it happened, her answer was, I don't always get time to fill the forms in!!! As to why I wasn't called, "well it didn't look broken".
I've just emailed the head of school a nice 3 page letter. I will not take this lightly, the school are aware of our family circumstances and had they called me at 11am I'd have been able to get someone to care for DH whilst I took her to hospital.

Pooks, I'd keep at the school with not-so-subtle questions about why it was left for so long....And how would the nurse know how to see if he was broken, unless she'd specialised in orthapedics or in the fracture clinic. And a fracture doesn't always look like one, cos it can swelll and sprians cause that too....can you tell i was a accident prone child...** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

I do it all because I'm scared.

That's terrible pooky. That happened when I was at school, 11 years ago n the school got a huge telling off. Good job I had a mobile really, I phoned my friend's parents myself. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Thanks Gonzo - I think the best plan is to stay with Eon until Npower give me my refund then decide - I can change to Eon online tarriff as soon as my account is active - should be Wednesday - that means Npower will have to cailculate my bill and do the refund this month. Hopefully £250 richer (well paid off debt!) by the end of the month.0

OK Judi, just so you know there are a couple of very helpful Eon Reps over in the gas and electric board on this site that you can always contact for help

Gonzo - I wouldnt do it, or at least not until you've seen she's making an effort and you can trust her. Maybe set a goal of she has to pay so much of it off herself somehow, or make the budget adjustments so that you can increase payments, and then you'll look at the situation again?
Just a warning though, I was on benefits and got a 6k loan, a 7k loan, two credit cards and an overdraft. They've tightened up now but don't bank on her not being able to get credit.
BB, I used to hate peanut butter, then tried Reeces cups (actually I think it was the kitkat chunky peanut butter that kicked it off), and now I love the stuff. I even found a recipe for chicken satay using it, but never managed to get a jar to last long enough to cook with it, which is why I don't buy it anymore...
Pooky, sorry to hear about the school and stuff, hope you get somewhere with it all.
Well, I had a great Saturday - did an essay and went to see an author give a talk and got tips on becoming a professional writer. Then a carp sunday when sister told us she'd taken an overdose and slit her wrists (she hadn't) just to get her own way. Didn't sleep last night so I've done nothing today.
At least the week can only get better now!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
