Yes I decided to take it but I need a new start date. They only have given me 6 days notice, I need 2 weeks for work. I have also asked if I could have the same position but in a nearer shop. She said she would phone me back but didn't, so I will have to phone tomorrow now :o

Pap, I agree with the others, you're doing really well.

Sammy, sorry you didn't get to do the half marathon, glad you're feeling better now.

Well, my day's finished better. I managed to get a Leeds festival ticket online, they sell out really quickly so I had three sites open, in queues in all of them, but got lucky. It means I don't have to get up at stupid o'clock in the morning to queue at a real shop.

Was planning to go to a meeting tonight but I've decided not to. I wasn't sure whether I was ready to go back to the committee and tonight was a way of testing the water, but with everything with sister I'm going to wait a bit. If I end up letting them down again then that'll be my last chance gone, so it's best to wait until I'm 100% ready.

So I'm watching House taped from last night and I still have wine, then there's good tv for the rest of the night.

  • Pooky,I don't know how the school can get away with that, we would be shot at dawn for letting a kid sit in school with a sodding broken arm!

and to be honest I 'd thought a nurse could realise it was a break or if not a serious bruise/sprain.

At my place we just get told to phone an ambulance.

    Pap you are fab.

And Ames your sister is beyond words. selfish mean cow. (Sorry if that sounds harsh but I cannot believe some one would want to frighten their family so much. )

    so tired

    Nevertheless she persisted.

Pooks, I'd keep at the school with not-so-subtle questions about why it was left for so long....And how would the nurse know how to see if he was broken, unless she'd specialised in orthapedics or in the fracture clinic. And a fracture doesn't always look like one, cos it can swelll and sprians cause that too....can you tell i was a accident prone child...

It doesn't matter if the nurse specialised in orthopaedics or not - the nurse doesn't have X-ray vision. That's why the orthopaedic surgeons send people off for X-rays because they don't have X-ray vision either...
