Hugs to all in need or want....I really miss being able to read posts at my usual leisurely pace, as I don't cop on as quickly as I used to so am missing out on everybody's excitement.

Hope to be back on a more permanent basis soon.

    Good afternoon

Trying to catch with the thread. Had a hectic weekend. Firstly I got a little cleaning job, cleaning holiday hire boats. Its only saturday morning (so no more James Martin:() but I really enjoyed it. And it was so nice to see the families arrive and see their excitment. Such a shame about the weather though. Then when I finished we went on a boat trip until last night. Doggies weren't too sure about the boat moving but loved it when we moored up along the towpath and they had the freedom to run.

So this morning has been spent catching up with washing and cleaning (more cleaning), but its boring when its your own and you're not getting paid for it!

Logged onto FB this morning to find out my DB's father in law has died over the weekend. Will ring him later.

Dinner tonight - well, DH loves those tinned pies (you know the ones) and has been sneaking s few into the trolley each time we go shopping as they have been on offer. Counted them up today and theres 11 !! So, tonight will be pie for him (only 10 to go), dont know what I'll have, will have a rummage in the freezer.

Have been waffling on enough so will just say (((hugs))) to anyone who needs one, and will carry on catching up with everyones news.

    Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is well, I have read the thread but I'm too tired to remember who said what. Nice to see you posting again Halight, I hope your headaches aren't troubling you too much.

I went back to work after three weeks off and had a very hectic day. Two meetings this morning and then catching up with e-mails all afternoon. I've got to go back for another meeting at 7.30!

I've not heard from the Breast nurses, they said they would ring today to let me know what follow-up regime I was going to have.

Only soup for dinner I think and I want to re-organise some kitchen cupboards before I have to go out again.

jc I hope things went alright at the court.

Thank you for your good wishes today. Everything is still the same and the trial is set for 19th April. The floors in the court building were highly polished and a credit to the cleaning team.....but I find reflective surfaces very disorientating at the moment and I'm sure one or two people must of thought I'd started early on the sherry as I was a bit wobbly at times! I find dealing with busy places very difficult at the moment which I think is part of the conditions and I'm absolutely shattered this afternoon with a stinking headache!

Whinge over :D Doctors in the morning....need a sick note. I feel really bad being off work......especially as the kids have all broken up for easter holidays :rotfl: I'd rather be at work ;)

    Evening everyone,

JC I'm glad it went as well as expected, with no unexpected events! One of the women I work with has come down with Labyrinthitis too, how strange, I only heard of it for the first time a few weeks ago, and there are so many people I have heard of with it now!

You will all be glad to hear I am in a much better mood! The snow didn't stay and it's been raining tadpoles again most of the day. I got a nice surprise when I came home though, as my youngest DSis had come for a isit with my DNephew and the baby, who's now almost ten months and adorable. What a wee cutie pie she is, and although my DSis is only four years younger than me, I can quite vivdly remember her as a small child as I adored her, and the wee one is very like her - it's so strange that I have such good recall but I know I'm not misleading myself as I have no photos in the house of our childhood.

Off to get dinner on, Quorn fajitas toniht, everyone's fave then off to dog borstal with Coco. I have taken the Kalms today, and have her Kong all filled up and raring to go! I only really logged on to check everything is OK with Mooloo, so off to check her thread out now, anyone who "knows" her on here, she could do with a wee bit moral support just now, and you all know how good we are at that, so please pop over and give her a hug if you have time!

    Have a lovely evening all,

    Jackie X

    Evening all

I've skimmed thread but not taken it in so ((hugs)) if you need one.

I spent the day at the most boring course ever :( I was really disappointed cos I was so looking forward to it but the trainer spend an hour doing 'get to know you' games - pointless as we were all in same profession so knew the games and a quick 'hello, my name is....' would have sufficed! And then all she did was give out handouts and refer to powerpoint, whilst telling us that this was not the most effective way of teaching  !!! And it took over an hour to get there. Plus the lunch was awful, leftovers from yesterday we assumed, a buffet lunch with no sandwiches!

Enough moaning from me.....I just had pasta with HM chilli sauce, leftover from the fajitas yesterday. I've made lunch for tomorrow, salad with pasta and HB egg.

I'm going to watch tv and read now tonight after I've washed up.

    Have a good evening

Sounds as though she is either scared / nervous of "teaching" a group, or just not very good at it!

Evening, everyone! Wow, it has been a looong day today. I'm feeling an awful lot better today, thanks to a good night's sleep, and have managed some exercises. Which made me feel great about myself. I found 4p at the bus stop and put it towards my new potted herb - Manuel. He's a basil plant and was reduced to clear at Mr T this evening. Now he sits on my kitchen shelf, ready to give me leaves for my bologneses and other culinary delights. :)

I haven't had chance to read through the entire thread yet, but I will. Hoping to have a nice relaxing evening now. Take care, everyone, and (((hugs))) to those in need.

    Hi,

Thanks for the good wishes for doggy :) His leg is healing ok - better than expected tbh as it's in a hard place to heal - rebandaged and a hefty vet bill later he was snuggled back up on my bed with his teddy :D

Have done well with my task list today :j ... just got to keep it up for the rest of the week

I love reading everyones posts but unless I've got a pen and paper to hand forget who's written what. Someone posted about veg patch ... Well done everyone who's started .... I'm late again :p Think I'll save it til early next week and then the kids and I can plant the seedlings together :)

JackieO - glad you managed to get some sleep this morning and hope you're feeling a bit better for it.

I've cooked off all the veg from the veg box - made a lovely veg stew and cooked off the cauliflour ready for cauli-cheese.

Need to do HM biscuits and lots of cake tomorrow (school cake bake on Weds and cake for puddings/snacks this week).

Off to collapse on the settee now and then an early night x

jet......poor baby I bet he is feeling sorry for himself hope he doesn't get the bandage off. I agree with you that vets are a horrendous price

I have brought all my seedlings indoors so they are nice and snug.

remmie....congrats on getting your little job :T
    bargainbird ........Hope FIL ok ((hugs))

bemuzzed.....I remember that year well, especially as we went to the pub in short sleeves because it was warm and came out to snow and froze all the way home

meanmarie.....Hope you get the computer sorted soon

Just been watching Raymond Blanc's kitchen secrets - it is great and if you have missed it it's well worth a look on BBCi player :D

He is currently in plaster because he fell down the stairs at home the beginning of this month and broke his leg in 6 places

Well DH has gone to bed and so have the kids so I am going to get a little me time and try to finish making the dining room curtains - I hope they come out as well as the Front Room ones and they are huge 90 x90 but I managed and they are lined so I am pleased with my ickle self :D

best friend popped round for coffee with a tiny bit of Baileys in :) this afternoon and we had a nice chinwag.

Well I must go and get started or It will be too late to start sewing or I will be too tired and the eyes aren't what they were so alonzeee :rotfl:
