Be strong Hollyh xx and make sure your laptop requires a log in on bootup with a really tricky password xx
Thank for the heating vibes. What a shame about the pheasant! I would have got you to post it to me special delivery! I have my sis and bil coming to lunch on Saturday and have decided to do a 3 bird roast - from scratch - including boning the birds! I would like a pheasant for the inner layer but may have to settle for something else as they are out of season (unless my nice butcher has one in the freezer somewhere).
Stew was divine. Even DD said so and there's enough to go into the freezer if I sort it out quickly before the mice (DD!) raid the fridge in the middle of the night.I'll swap it for those fircones, assuming you haven't burnt them to keep warm... otherwise, depending on what else you have, try quail or pigeon (the latter is never out of season, after all, it's vermin...)

Hi all
Just popping by to catch up on Sandy.. I'm really sorry that it wasn't better news but I'm still thinking of her.. if only all the thoughts shes getting from everyone could do some real proper good..
Carlsberggirl Hugs to you too..must be a really difficult time..
Now I have done some flying, the kitchen is looking good, the lounge is pretty clean & tidy & my bathroom is looking fab! Its not quite finished & I'm sure the novelty of wiping the tiles etc down after every shower will soon wear off!
I will post my proper lists before 8pm on Sunday cos I might have done enough for a star this week!0 -
carlsberggal Huge hugs from me. I can't imagine how awful you must be feeling right now.
Congratulations Mrs polkadot!!
Congratulations too toots for Sunday when you are confirmed.
hex I like soappie's idea the best. Then you don't have to put up with it while he is away.
hollyh I would do exactly the same as you and hide the laptop away when you are not around , just in case. I used to lock mine in a desk drawer. I would trust my sons with everything except my laptop.
I have had DSs working most of the day cleaning and tidying.:)
Things were looking good then the washing machine stopped working. DH got out of bed again to try to sort it but the drum won't go around. If we can get a car out tomorrow I will go to DDs and use her washer. Repair person is coming on Wednesday. The current machine is only 5 years old.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I want to see at least 2 things that are fabulous in our life right now!! There has been a lot of unhappiness so now we can all be Pollyannas and be glad about something!!
thinking.....thinking.....which to pick......soooo many......
My beautiful children, who, despite their experiences in their short lives so far never cease to amaze me with their love, compassion and sweetness...and loudness
My big, rough, gruff husband who has a heart of gold, awesome intelligence and worships the ground I walk on
Where I live....it's small, desparately needs a new kitchen & bathroom and decorating, but I still love it, and we live in the middle of nowhere so it's easy to be antisocial, but on the outskirts of a town so I can get what I need easily & quickly, and then go back to being antisocial
I seem to have few needs and wants so it's easy to feel content..
My MSE ways have finally rubbed off on DH and we can actually live on our income and not the credit cards and still have enough cash to cover emergencies and little treats (after years of panic this one cannot be underestimated)

Greenbee, thanks again for update - I can't get my head around how Sandy and her family must be feeling. I understand she really wants to get out, but if the Drs can give her any more help I hope she'll just stay in a bit longer.
Hex, oh how I've enjoyed the story of SS's friend and the bin (bleugh)! DEFINITELY make him sort it out without a shadow of doubt - and he's not to just buy a new bin (I know you wouldn't let him do that) - he has to deal with the consequences of it!
Must go to bed as DS woke me at 1 this morning and DD 4.30 and then I couldn't sleep so feeling really tired. Good night all!

well one more day til we break up and doesn't my look like it knows it???? What a tip, hey ho having just spent the evening until 8.30 doing parent consultations in a freezing cold classroom (couldn't get the heating to come on???!!!) I am shattered and off to bed
I promise i will fly
tomorrowGo hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
I have a partridge in the freezer which you are welcome to...
I'll swap it for those fircones, assuming you haven't burnt them to keep warm... otherwise, depending on what else you have, try quail or pigeon (the latter is never out of season, after all, it's vermin...)
Funnily enough I found the bucket of fircones the other day when I was looking for that particular bucket because BB needed a bath (she had rolled in something seriously foul!). Can't remember what I did with the cones now - I think they went in a pile on a little bit of rough ground beside the side yard.... I remember tipping them out and thinking of you!
Thank you for the offer of the partridge but I don't particularly want to drive up the M3 on a bank holiday weekend
I do have some quail in the freezer if the worst comes to the worst but they are going to be sooo fiddly to bone! I've almost settled on duck on the outside, guinea fowl for the middle (Mr T has them in at the moment) and a poussin on the inside.
Or Duck, then chicken then guinea fowl.
Depends what time BG come tomorrow afternoon and whether or not I'll be able to catch the butcher before he closes.
Right, I'm off to boil a kettle for a hot water bottle then take to my bed. I have to say this halogen heater of NN's what she bought from the Daily Mail is quite effective and has lifted the temp in the living room.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
