I haven't done very much flying today - I'm halfway through the main bedroom.

The cloakroom is very nearly finished - but the new mirror has been damaged ( a little unclear when and by whom *shrug smilie*). It will be replaced by the company anyway. A few little things left to do, after Easter. I'm hoping to repaint the ceiling over the break, and choose towel rail, loo roll holder and ceiling light. Oh - and buy new towels! Something I love doing, for reasons that aren't entirely clear - I really like the Christy shop, with all those neatly piled towels, all colour co-ordinated.

Last day of term tomorrow - :D Can't wait.

hex - now I'm afraid - very afraid!;)

Evening folks... I actually finished today's Flying a while ago, but because I had to switch on the PC as opposed to using the netbook (all will become clear in my list, but if it wasn't for today's compulsory extra, the PC would have stayed off) I got sidetracked by a walkthrough for Dragon Age Origins.......:whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle:

Anyway.... (((HUGS))) Carlsberggal. Many moons ago I was engaged to a soldier, and I know how awful it was when he was posted to Northern Ireland (it was the height of the Troubles).

*Sigh* I already have my next [STRIKE]torture session[/STRIKE] appointment, in September. That is, if the hossy don't do their usual stunt and change it three or four times before then - this usually includes a final change of time/date the afternoon before, when they know Mr LW has to book leave to take me.

Sandy wants you all to know how much she appreciates your support. I think she's probably feeling (understandably) very lost and lonely, so knowing that there are a bunch of lunatics here thinking about her is helping. She's trying to get herself discharged and when she does (and hopefully they won't let her out unless they're sure she'll be OK) I'm sure she'll be back online to see what we're all up to.
Thanks Greenbee. I fully understand her wanting to be out of there; but I hope she'll hang on long enough for any important treatment. Please tell her that Wolfy strength continues to flow towards her.

No room sadly, and I don't see why I should deal with it at all. He needs to learn that there are consequences to his actions :mad::mad:

I am going to put it back in his bedroom minus the towel. Then I am going to switch his heating on, tip in a pint of milk and add the contents of the litter tray. Should smell nice by Wednesday when he is back - as would the study when it was next used. never, ever p**s me off .
Oh Yuk, YUK, YUK!! I can deal with most things, but deffo not human vomit._pale_

Oh, and I should thank everyone who has reassured me that not being baby-oriented is OK. I got a major earbashing from my dear father (dripping sarcasm there LOL) when I was finally sterilised, because he said I was being selfish by denying him the opportunity to be a grandfather.

OK, a somewhat belated Flying report....

Wednesday ~ Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One
Clean floors in these rooms Done (Mr LW)
Clean baths, toilets and sinks Done
    Level Two
Clear any clutter from desk Done
Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!! (baby wipes are fantastic for this!!) Done
Wipe keyboard and mouse (these usually have more germs on than your toilet so important).. And your house phone.. they must be just as vile..Done; 2 PCs, 1 netbook and the phone.
    Level Three
Wipe down tiles in bathroom Done
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required Screen done
Clean the brushes/dust box/filters on the vacuum cleaner!!!! .. make sure they are completely dry before using it though.. I don’t want anyone electrocuted! Done
    Extras

    • Sort through those half empty bottles or ones with only a dribble left and decant into one bottle and recycle the rest!! All sorted and OK
    • Wash your bathroom mats etc They're OK – and it's lousy drying weather today (I already have an A-frame full of wet washing indoors!)
    • Sort a wardrobe or part of, a drawer or set of drawers making sure it has what needs to be in it and any 'extras' are put where they should be All OK; they've all been gone through very recently.
    • Spend 15 minutes shining mirrors and picture frames Done
    Compulsory Extra..
Turn on your favourite song and sing REALLY loudly along with it! .. I don't care if you all sound like strangled cats.. I want you to sing for me! I find it really lifts a cloudy mood!

LOL OK, Piggers. I have to put my PC on to do this, as I can't use the CD player (it's at ground level) but I have a task that needs doing on the PC anyway, so it'll make me get on and do that also. (I use the netbook for general logging on , as it's easier to sit on the sofa with).
My favourite is “Lughnassadh” by Damh the Bard. If anyone's curious, the lyrics can be found here:

(sorry, I can't do posh linkies). I just hope next door don't contact the council about noise pollution.....

Thank you for all the hello’s and congratulations.

Sorry Toots-I knew you wouldn’t miss it but I really do plan to make an effort-on the posting front too. I miss being part of something. You girls always reminded me that it was my disarray that made me ill, not the illness that kept me in disarray...I forgot that and am very grateful to have remembered before the baby comes, and that you are all still here.

Notso I LOVE your signature-I read it to DH and he smiled and said he remembered a time when that was me. He used to complain about me “being online with my imaginary friends”, but I think he’s starting to realise I wasn’t away from him THAT much and that that time away was better than me being away in my illness.

LW My brother and his wife got married in 2000 after dating for about three years. They sign their Christmas cards “love brother and sister, dog and cat”. They say they treat their pets like kids and have my kids to spoil-they like their expensive hobbies too much. Some have called them selfish...but our mum (as some here know) was not maternal at all and probably shouldn’t have had us. He blesses my children and they bless him. Surely thats better that them having kids because its expected and then resenting them?

1 Step thanks for the heads up, I’ll have to go have a hunt.

Carlsberggal HUGE hugs. DS’s godfather is in the royal engineering corps and has not yet been called to tour...I dread the day he does get the call and have added you and your son to our prayer list.

Hello Hex I was in A&E the other night and the gp told me there was no such thing as sinusitis...the gp I saw today said it was horrifying how debilitating it can be.Oh and my “need to check” list will start with the MRI she wants done after baby arrives. And as for the other thing-I would so put the bin in his wardrobe and leave it there until “someone” notices the stench and then innocently say “but I told you about it”. I would hit the roof over that...its not just disgusting, its a health hazard!

Pigpen I did contemplate it-but I was given a package as a wedding gift (wedding was very MSE-did it on £500 all done), and it included removing. And even if I had to pay for it in the salon its a fiver on the price list so not much different than buying the bits myself...and I get out of the house for half an hour.

Right I think thats me for the night. Just going to look for that list 1 Step is using and then hit the shower. Might spoil my DH tonight with some tea and a cuddle since Ive not been very "wifely" since we got married ... although in my defence, did I tell you all that after the wedding Mr Polkadot said he was going to go to asda for beer and then bring the rest of the straggling guests home to continue the party...sent me home with my brother-I phoned half an hour later to find he'd gone into the pub over the road from the restaurant instead  He did come straight home with flowers and chocolate and is still grovelling a bit ;)

He finally gave up and went upstairs when he realised his pleading wasn't helping. :j He doesn't understand what he's done, he thinks because he didn't mean to do it that it wasn't his fault and that he should be able to use the laptop as he's got nothing else. I said by ignoring what he's been told it was his fault. I'm not replacing the Pc now, he can save up for one if he wants one.

Thank for the heating vibes. What a shame about the pheasant! I would have got you to post it to me special delivery! I have my sis and bil coming to lunch on Saturday and have decided to do a 3 bird roast - from scratch - including boning the birds! I would like a pheasant for the inner layer but may have to settle for something else as they are out of season (unless my nice butcher has one in the freezer somewhere).

Stew was divine. Even DD said so and there's enough to go into the freezer if I sort it out quickly before the mice (DD!) raid the fridge in the middle of the night.
