Morning, all my lectures are finished so i'll be at home studying for the next 6 weeks or so. Hopefully should get some flying done in that time too. Like Greenbee i can't concentrate if the place is a mess! I have a washing on, just going to finish my coffee and put the DW on too. Will clear the worktops and then i need a bath.
Don't think the elephant would like to detour this far north so i'll be there in spirit Sandy.
If there are any spare positive thoughts i would really like them for LO as she has a CT scan this afternoon to see if she has permanent damage to her lungs:(

Boddy - that really is not right. It is volunteers who hold so many places together
Tidied around and cleaned most of the bits in the kitchen, filters/AGA/floor to do when I get back.
As it's stopped raining for the minute I'm off to do my chores now.
See you all at lunchtime. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

DH has just informed me he is leaving the house at 5am tomorrow and will be back at 7ish Tuesday night:mad:
I had to battle valiantly to get everyone up this morning. My little ones are so tired at the end of a term and losing an hour in the morning really doesn't help.
Off to finish off the kitchen and claim my star.....0 - Binbag dance[STRIKE]

AnWsMum I dont think they have forgot us as they see us each week. When it was mentioned to them they seemed sheepish and quickly moved on to something else. We look after the room as well when there. I made my co colleague laugh as we were called guinea pigs in the project and I said no we are pioneers.
Sending positve healthy vibes and asking the angels to help sandy.0 -
Thanks to Pigpen, Toots, Soappie and the secret squirrel, for the lists and the stars and to everyone else for the general support.
Hello to the newbies :wave:ETA - did anyone succumb to the Yankee spring megapack?
Me. I frittered my Quidco and my paypal surveys money. I am hoping it will come tomorrow, not today as DH is working from home. And I then went on to use the 20% off jparkers code for some bargain bulbs so hopefully they wont arrive too .
Sandy - Thinking of you at 11. Bagsy on the elephant poo please - it just needs storing for a bit before you use it.
Thifty - I have a similar problem here with the lawns - they just dont drain very well and are more moss than grass. My Dad (who is very knowledgeable about such things ) told me after much research that we need to dig a deep gravel pit at the highest point of the garden so that the water goes there instead. If it is under a lawn that you don't want to lift then the tedious job of deep spiking every few inches and filling with sand will help a little as long as you keep on doing it. Other options - cut a hole and plant a thirsty tree with nice deep roots. Not some horrid conifer that will blight your garden but something nice to look at that won't block the sun. Or work with what you have, rip the lot up and have a stunning bog garden. I don't think you are that far from me BTW.
Greenbee - It is looking good already, some great shapes to work with and a mangeable size if you pick the right plants and mulch. The clematis sounds lovely through the apple tree. Clematis are one of my favourite things.
Dusty - Scary staring. Is it worse if you sit in her chair?
Serena - I hope you dont ache too much today? I am really sore but pleased with what I got done. The creeping buttercup is still winning sadly.
Kitchen it is. It isn't too bad but I need to get on as we are out later at a soft play party. HHC 10.45 anyone?
ETA Guns N Banjos - major vibes for you and your DD. Hope everything is OK.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Hi Flyers

I've just heard from Sandy - she was taken into hospital last night as she has a lot of pain in her head and can't move her right side. I think a few more flylady vibes in her direction would be welcomed.
Thanks for letting us know greenbee. Praying and vibing like mad.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -

Terrible news about Sandy - Don't know what to say except that she is in my thoughts.
Thanks to the Boss Ladies again for this week. I'm afraid I gave in to the BD at the end of last week and did very little, but I'm back with you this morning, and determined to get 3 or 4 stars this week.
Have to go out shortly to get DD's haircut (she's on her hols already), but am flying from 10:45-11:15. Have already done some clearing up in the kitchen, so may even finish in that time (DD says she will help..... uh-oh!). Join me if you can....
Love to all
