how do i make a DVD of my old Video tapes?

    rite tried that and got no voices from video, i.e. kids playing etc... it wont let me turn off just one it makes me turn all off,.. any ideas?

    nope still no joy still getting my household noise being recorded over video... i tranfered it to a external HD via a XP computer, (this one i use now is W7 so i wondered if it were a codec or something as this word keeps coming up.

    the file im trying to burn is a Wav file...

    It says it failed copying but did a little...
