how do i make a DVD of my old Video tapes?

If you have HD DVD Recorder, run your video tape from camcorder/VCR, copy into HD DVD Recorder. Once you done that then it is easy to transfer to DVD from HD.0

If you've made your movie with Windows Movie Maker, you can then make your DVD from it with Windows DVD Maker - found in Windows in the same place as Movie Maker.0 -

Just worth a mention; I'm sure these are all personal Video's that have been shot on a cam or something. Be aware that trying to copy pre-recorded tapes will usually give dismal results thanks to the Macrovision protection on them.0

just to reassure you they are MY family video tapes, under current law i guess i own the right to copy them. can i just ask having got this magix thingy i can do everything but how do i NOT get the background noise of me moving around the room while the video is uploading to my computer. the slide for background noise doesnt seem to move.

I'm guessing in your sound mixer on your computer, turn the microphone and other line inputs *off* :-)0
