Really? Thanks :) Don't worry if you forget we live just near so I can always go for a wander and have a look! Plus I could go see what on earth they have done to my old school what I have seen so far looks ridiculous.

    Course I don't mind!

MissPixie - hope you can find a bouncy castle

We are meeting manager of hotel where we are having reception tonight to go through final numbers for meal and evening buffet etc. Will be good to get that done.

How are everyones final plans going?
  • MissPixie - traffic was bad this morning so didn't go that way. It's the Northenden junction where you get off the parkway when heading out of town if that makes sense. hope it hasn't been taken down!

Primmer - how did the meeting go? I've had one drop out this week, so trying to decide who to upgrade to the full day. Looks like will have to be a couple though so that'll be one extra number. Also need to decide how many bottles of wine to get and pay the corkage. Just had a moment of splurge and now going to have a backdrop light curtain. That's a couple of hundred quid, but I think it will make a big difference to the room, and we've saved elsewhere.

Apart from losing my voice (much to H2B's relief lol) things have come together nicely.

The only thing stressing me now is the seating plan as we're doing just a buffet rather than 2 separate meals I have to accommodate everyone and H2B doesn't see the point (even caused a massive row the other week) mind you it's his work mates causing the problems just can't seem to fit the 4 left over onto any other table lol.

    How's everyone else gone on?

Just 4 days to go now! Not too much left to do. I'm starting to get really nervous. My family can be quite gossipy, I hope they aren't unkind about me or any of the arrangements we've made. I know I shouldn't care about what anyone else thinks, but I do :o I hope they like everything and have a good time. What if some people don't turn up on the day? Am I getting really paranoid now? :o

As long as you and your OH and at least 2 other people turn up that is what matters! If other people don't like something they will get over it, but I am sure everyone who matters will love it and be happy to share your day :)

    Thanks trying.

I had my dress fitting today and I can finally stop panicking because my dress can be taken in enough to fit me just got to hope it doesn't alter the structure too much. It seems a shame to ruin such perfect boning but it has to be done or will be walking round all day holding on to it which is not a good look!

Good news - steroid cream has started to work!

Bad news - OH sister cant make the wedding now, out of the 35 guests only 4 are 'his' family. Feel bad for him, thats his sister, step sister and dad and step mum who arent coming.

We were never having 'sides' to sit on but will have to ensure everyone sits together.

No nerves yet - finished the kids bags for the lunch - they have colouring book with crayons, bubbles and ben 10 book for the boys and little miss books for the girls.

Decided on card factory for the balloons to be done the day before as they are the cheapest.

Lara44 - if they dont turn up the its there loss - good luck for saturday hope the sun shines on you xx

Lindy - glad to hear steroid cream working.

My meeting with the hotel manager has been put back to Friday night as he was unwell yesterday which worked out well as it meant I could make my Zumba class - legs ache today though.
  • Thought things where going to well!!
Hair and make women despite charging a handsome fee for her services wanted my W2B to buy all her own make up & buy hair extensions & pay extra for few lashes so she's hit the roof and trying to bail out of the deal, having only the deposit to loose.

I echo the comments do people really want your business these days!!!

And to top it off another bridesmaid decided to tell use they are expecting on the day of the final dress fittings!! so off the the shop for the next size dress..... again! having one expecting was bad enough, having two expecting is just plain scarey lol thankfully the other bridesmaid is my niece who's of an age we shouldn't have to worry lol.

Miss Pixie i've messaged you with some info which may help, let me know how you get on.
Wedding day is 26th Aug 2011 and counting!

  • MissPixie - that sign has been taken down, but there's one outside Whalley Range High School on a pedestrian crossing. Sorry - didn't have time to take the number and don't often drive that way...

I LOVE Zumba - hope you enjoyed it Primmer! Shame about them dropping out Lindy - but he's marrying into a lovely new family anyway!

MrO - that is OUTRAGEOUS!! I went for my trial last weekend and wasn't impressed - so now I'm doing it myself (need to remember to ring her and tell her that, but a bit scared as she's doing my hair too...!) And the bridesmaid news is frustrating - do people start showing so quickly?

    I'm getting NERVOUS!!!!!
