It won't affect insurance - it is simply a number that identifies the vehicle in the DVLA database.
I changed my registration after taking out my policy and was only charged the admin fee for doing so by my insurer (Aviva).
Is iKube the only insurer you can get a decent quote from? If I remember correctly they're the one that impose ridiculous terms like a curfew on vehicle use, etc?0 -
Yeah they are the cheapest by about 2000 pounds believe it or not as birmingham is classed as a high risk area and we have been having quotes for the last couple of months off every insurer on the net and they are all mega as he is 17 and male.0

The quotes you are getting are probably less being a girl than a lad but they will still be very high. i kube insurance was the cheapest by miles but you cant drive the car between 11pm and 5am and they have charged me 2551 for the privellidge lol, good luck because your going to need it lol.0 -
