TBH, Im very surprised the dealer isnt selling the personalised number plate himself or adding a premium to the car?

It's probably an Irish plate and fairly worthless.

More to the point has OP actually asked if the car comes with the plate and not just assuming it does?

It won't affect insurance - it is simply a number that identifies the vehicle in the DVLA database.

I changed my registration after taking out my policy and was only charged the admin fee for doing so by my insurer (Aviva).

Is iKube the only insurer you can get a decent quote from? If I remember correctly they're the one that impose ridiculous terms like a curfew on vehicle use, etc?

Yeah they are the cheapest by about 2000 pounds believe it or not as birmingham is classed as a high risk area and we have been having quotes for the last couple of months off every insurer on the net and they are all mega as he is 17 and male.
