Ebay member - should they be registered as a Business?

A seller on ebay, been selling about a month, she is selling voucher codes that can be used on 2 different Catalogue companies. Should she be registered as a Business seller.

I take it they are the competition?
  • Not at all, im just feeling bitter. Paypal wont refund my money, luckily its just £1.98 for rejected codes.

If the codes do not work then why not make a claim and get your money back?

What did you say to paypal that they refused your claim?

EDIT: You can also neg them and leave low DSR's, also if your sure they are a business and not a private seller send an email to ebay with your concerns.
  • Yes done that, gone in the sellers favour, never mind ill get over it by tomorrow.
  • I cant see what was put from her side. I am just glad its a small amount. Does lose your trust in Ebay though. i have done the negs, I may be the first but I doubt Ill be the last.

How did you receive the codes....by email?

Maybe voucher codes are not tangible items, hence the reason paypal didnot refund

Yes your right, looked at paypal and have seen that. Oh well learnt my lesson. I did think they were individual voucher codes that she had got hold of from somewhere lol, silly me, it's just it stated in her add that they would be sent 2nd Class, nice trick.

You should have claimed non receipt, they would have have had to provide tracking information.

    You would have won then.

Voucher codes are freely available on MSE a lot of the time are they not ? Presuming this was a specific one ? What gives her a right to sell these codes though ? Do the companies know ?
