CGS - I'm so glad you are back online - I was starting to get a it worried and more than once checked to see if the thread needs bumping.

Thank you everyone for the offer of a mass letter write. If I have nothing and am no further in 2 weeks (my own time frame kind of) I might just do this.

I think I was a little over optimistic the other day (sense of humour scewed my view on reality I think !)

My MP is away until next Tuesday. Apparently I was told this, but don't seem to remember this information. Is my memory that bad ?

I tried calling everyone today and didn't manage to get anywhere. My Housing officer always seemed to be in a meeting, out to lunch, on a call, in an interview, gone home !!! (even after I left messages for them to call me !)

I was so positive this morning, and so dis-heartened by tea time, I feel like I've just gone backwards. Going to make those calls took all my energy and will power this morning, not to mention time consuming. Landlady wasn't in all day, nor was anyone else it seemed !

Sorry for moaning, just feel like I'm back to square one.

Will try some again tomorrow and report of any news.

As you say, these things tend to turn you upside down and what you need is a diary so you can quote back at them who said what, when etc. Write down everything, even the time of the call. Please document everything - it can make all the difference.
Do you know the name of the person there that originally said they would pay the difference in rent? Have you asked to see your file because they should have been documenting everything too? It might show up their error.
If your Housing Officer isn't there see the Duty one. If you can, when you go on these visits as well as writing everything down in front of them (makes them nervous - make sure you get names), try and take a friend to act as a witness. Face to face visits have more of an impact.
It's going to take a lot of strength on your part angel but we're with you every step of the way. You are a survivor! :T :grouphug: And you are doing a great job so don't be beaten back. Don't feel bad, everyone has days like this CGS when they feel they're getting nowhere fast so don't feel it's just you. Then you need to take time out & recharge your batteries for a couple of hours. You'll have a little more time to yourself once the children return to school (best babysitting service in the world!:D ).
May I be rude and ask if you are in receipt of Income Support angel?
I am looking into the whole situation from a multitude of angles & will get back to you with news as soon as.
