    I haven't heard anymore from Trading Standards, I did write to Asda at Head Office as Consumer Direct asked me too, they replied and asked for the packaging and piece of glass to be sent to them, which I sent by recorded delivery as I had waited 2 weeks and not had a request from Trading Standards to send it to them. Still waiting to hear back from Asda now as they are running their own investigatin....finally!! Will let you know when I get a reply!

    Do you have any evidence that the glass was deliberately put into that can? Maybe the manufacturer has a personal vendetta against the OP! And I think you should be cautious about saying that someone is 'due' compensation, do you have any legal basis for that figure?
