Hello Stuart,
Thanks for you reply.
I hope you can help me sort this out.
I'm a bit unsure how to deal with this.
Please advise....
How do I email you via the public profile ?
Cheers.................

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

It was up to you to tell them what tariff you wanted, you have been put on the default tariff as previously advised-what tariff were you on before they disconnected you? If you want to upgrade to Anytime calls, just call them up or do it through your online account. The extra cost is £4.99.
You would need to discuss the 18m contract with them, normally it would be 12m, but clearly your recent BT history may have something to do with this.
Why did BT tell me an engineer would come to my home to check and set up everything.
I waited for the BT engineer from 8.00am till 4.00pm :....The engineer did not turn up (And I wasted a day off work)
At least they should have told me that the line would most likely be connected at the exchange!!!
Also...............Is it normal procedure to be put on an 18th contract?
Why does BT want to lock me in to a long term 18th contract?
How does BT work out the following?
1.That the Unlimited Weekend Plan, is the tariff that gives me value for money and matches my call usage.
2. That I prefer to be billed quarterly and not monthly ,via a paper bill
3. That my method of payment is not by monthly payment plan or Direct Debit.
For the points mentioned above I was not given any options/choices. This really concerns me as before my sudden illness I was a loyal BT customer for over 20 years.0 -
Why don't you just wait for a reply from BT instead of repeating the same old information? No free lunch, and no free laptop
