I dont use one as i dont need one. Before i replaced my 25 year old bathroom suite i used to bleach the toilet and scrub at it with the loo brush and leave the loo brush in the pan overnight to soak in the bleach and just pray that no one came in to use the loo overnight without noticing the toilet brush.:o

I find a nightly drench in bleach and the occasional drench in a toilet cleaner that descales is enough to keep my replaced toilet clean and white.

Ive never stuck my hand down the toilet to clean it either.

  • I can understand while poeple say they're gross, I do use them and flush with the brush still in the toilet after scrubbing so it gets rinsed.

This is what I do ;)

I use a brush head in a holder and dispose of it every few months. Plenty of bleach too. The main reason is we have a few 'guests' who enjoy 'using the bathroom' at other peoples houses - in fact, I have to vary the reading material in the loo every week or so, so they don't get bored. I swear my DH and his friends are still teenage boys...
... at least they make the effort to clean up after themselves I guess!

    It's only a toilet, it's only poo... ;)

    me three :D
although being 'oop north we dont have the same limescale problem, i just use a cheap cystern block thing and a weekly wipe round with a squirt of cleaner and some loo roll. with 5 of us in the house the loo gets some heavy duty usage but i dont have a problem with an unclean lavvy and find what i do is more than suffice !! :rotfl:

That looks like the Kim and Aggie loos - how on earth CAN they get that bad?

I'm a brush and bleach woman myself - do it frequently and tell everyone to aim properly.
  • I'm a disposable head brush fan too - I know they're slightly more expensive than a budget brush but I hate the thought of them lying around in the bathrooms....

I stock up when they're on offer and it saves using bleech / toilet cleaner etc so balances out the cost a bit.

How much are these, do you use them every day and does it mean you don't need toilet cleaner at all like Duck etc?

I have a toilet duck disposable-head toilet brush. The refills are a little expensive but I cut them in half and get twice as many out of a packet :)
