PAP - ebay looked very cheap for bikes. Also, have you tried seeing if you can get to an auction or police sale?Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0

Have a look in the local paper Pap, people are always getting rid of them and upgrading to a new model!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Thanks Scaredy, its actually only 1.5miles if the short cut is open so not very far at all. Its is an investment as you say, its also one of my new years resolutions :rotfl: With your bikes did you use a really sturdy lock? With my bike insurance while I was at college I needed a £50 lock, it had been tryed a few times but no one ever broke through it, expensive though
Kat, thanks I have found some on ebay and trade it so I will watch/bid on those. There isn't any I like in Argos anyway so I will try and stay clear of those/debt anyways.
Sally, thats true, I shall look there too I am hoping if I can get a cheapish back pack I could even run home some days. I really don't mind the walking though. it will be the winter months/dark nights that I will need a bike for. I will see what these auctions do and go from there.
Oh and I really should be posting this on my diary not chatSo move along
