    Hi everyone,

I'm sorry I have read the thread but it's not really sunk in. 3 times!!!!!!

I hope you're all having a good day, and those missing are well. I do remember reading snoozers news last night, so I'm sending you a hug{{}}.

    Nic how's the puupy doing?

Well, I was working early this morning, glad to get away from the bl00dy mess left by the decorators yesterday. The used plastic sheeting to cover everything, then when they were done, they just pulled it off anyoldhow and the dust from the sanding has gone everywhere. I mean everywhere. I told them just to leave as I was so flaming angry, and I don't think their kind offer of vacuuming the floor would have made any difference anyway. GRRR. So, house has been vacuumed 3 times and damp wiped twice and seems to be getting there now. Having sadi that OH was flaming when he came in, he was concerned about the dust in the TV Playstation etc. causing problems down the line and spent the first hour in taking photos of everything and witing a sternly worded letter to the Site Agent as he deals with this sort of thing in his own job, he had some very good strong points to make.:T

I'm not long in from Asda, where I go every six weeks or so, as they do some veggie stuff I can't get in Mr T. Their milk is 65p for 2litres at the moment, and they have the small size Easter Eggs for £1 each so I got quite a few bargains. I also met a girl I grew up with (well she's my youngest sister's age) and with whom I was quite good friends several years ago, but she moved a few miles away and we lost touch about three years ago, so I spent about half an hour blocking the aisle with my trolley while we chatted - I hate it when people do that!!:o

OH has requested some more of Curry Queen's bhaji for dinner tonight, so will do that shortly after my cuppa, I bought him and the boys some chicken thighs which I'll make into Chicken Pakora for them and we'll have dahl and rice and naan, with HM doublechoc muffins for pud - very OS instead of a takeaway.

    Have a good evening all.

We have had torrential downpours here and I have had a migraine all day but a few of my ooober pain killers meant for my knees and a couple of hours sleep have sorted it.

Got some washing done this afternoon while DH helped DS with revision for his GCSE's. Apart from that I haven't really felt up to doing anything else.

DH cooking tonight so probably egg and bacon :rotfl:but at least he tries bless him.

Telly tonight looks pretty dire again so I am doing a freezer and cupboard stock-take and I hope that it will see me through for a couple more weeks yet - then I will go to my freezer suppliers and stock up again. I was going to go next week but I want to cut back on spending for a while, our finances took a real bashing in March
Oh well DH calling so must go and see what he wants TTFN x

    Evening all
I had a fairly sucessful day, got 2 loads of washing dry on the line, gave the house a swish & swipe & then sat down & watched the Harry Potter film and crochet 6 dishclothes in a really bright orange & yellow cotton yarn.
So nothing exciting, but I need some down time as it is so busy at work.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Good evening everyone, well I had a lovely day out in London and walked for it seemed miles, but had such a good day I really didn't mind.
Mind you it did rain cats and dogs in the late afternoon and we got a bit wet
In total including lunch and fares to London and back I have spent just under£28.00 which was excellant value as my sis-in-law and I had a lovely Italian meal in Leicester Square. Not long home and had a G&T to revive the parts that the coffee didn't get to;)
Then just after I got home the little lass whose Mum lives next door knocked with a lovely bunch of flowers for me Bless her.She had her new little baby girl a few days ago and her Mum asked if I would pick her the baby and her husband up from the local hospital.I said yes no problem as I know they hadn't got a car (I think her OH is out of work poor lad) I thought what a nice gesture as I know they haven't a great deal of cash but it was a nice thank you which was so unexpected.
I think its so nice when someone who can probably really not afford very much has thought to show their appreciation. I think I will knit a nice little pink and white blanket for the little one .I saw her when they brought her home and she really is a little sweetie.
I was going to do some ironing but I think I will just put my feet up and relax tonight and probably watch Casualty and do a bit of knitting, then have an early night with my book.
Forecast for tomorrow is a bit dire, according to my local BBC forecast its rain, rain, and more rain with sleet on Wednesday:eek: When will we ever get some spring weather.
Oh well perhaps we will get a scorching summer instead;)
Right hope you all have a good evening and welcome to EC, you seem to be doing o.k. with your budgetting
    take care all
    Cheers JackieO xx:D

    Hello everybosdy,

We survived the brunch this morning...more the cooking really as my family all have healthy appetites.

DS2 is off on Monday morning and straight into work on Tuesday...The other engineer has got them a nice apartment in NW1 so he wont be too far from DD2. They are picking up the keys on Monday , apartment is furnished but there is no tv, crockery, pots, pans etc so I presume there will be a shopping trip somewhere along the line....he hates so it should be interesting!

Still coughing all the time, going to bed soon with something to help me sleep. DGS2 is here for the night, he wanted a sleepoveer, he is entertaining the cats at present, or vice versa, not sure which, his mother would have a conniption if she knew that he was still up...he will go soon.

Hugs to all in need or want, welcome to newbies, forgive spelling errors as I am typing this 'blind', screen has gone blank but typing is usually ok when I bring it up again.
