    Morning All

Absolutely beautiful blue sky here this morning - really makes the day better getting up to blue instead of grey doesn't it?

Can't honesty say alot OS is going on here today...or even this weekend! I have a couple of msing jobs to do then we're down to the hotel and out for lunch tomorrow (another MS job!) and DH will be playing at chauffeur for the weekend (quite liking it :D) as I'm not even attempting to drive yet. Just when I think I'm feeling better the room moves! Spoke to my boss yesterday and he said he didn't expect to see me back before easter which has took the pressure off. I seem to be having a good day ....and then the next day I feel terrible again. If I forget to take my tablet the room starts 'whooshing' but it settles within half an hour of takin it.

Need to get a few things packed to take with us - including the box of choccies my friend brought over last night :D Do Roses count as OS?..... ;)

    Have a good day x

    morning!

    3 days off now!:j:j:j

today I've got a busy day - taking DH to his mates house then cleaning the holiday cottage. This afternoon we're off to Bromsgrove to collect some new baby pigeons for DH. Hope it stops reasonably dry as the laundry bin is full again!
Tea is veggie pizza, salad and wedges.

Bitsy - hope you manage to enjoy your shopping!

    have a great weekend all x x x

    Morning all

Bitsy - Hope you feel better soon! I have a cold too :(

I've been up for just over an hour, finished my book in bed. I really wish my body clock would let me lie in occasionally though!

WM has been on and clothes are on airer, I'm on 2 minds as whether to put it outside on balcony to dry as it looks a tad grey out there. I need to wash dishes, hoover, sort out paperwork and possibly list some stuff on Ebay today. I also need to take the recycling to the tip. It really annoys me that they do not do kerbside recycling at my flats but they do in the rest of the town!

I'm probably meeting the girls for lunch and a spot of window shopping. I need to get a few bits and bobs too. I'm starying a new course through work on Monday - to become a Learning Coach - so I fancy some new stationary to help me learn :o I'm sad like that! :rotfl: It's a 10 day course spread over next 3months.

I may pop out to a bar tonight for an hour or so as one of my work teens is playing in a band so he would like support. But I'm a bit undecided as I'm not feeling 100% and I as yet have no-one to go with! So we shall see.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I gained a free pint of milk and loaf of bread from work :D pleased with that!

Dinner tonight will be fajitas, fancied them all week but didn't have energy to cook so will do them tonight, and probably batch cook the sauce to fill freezer.

    Have a great day all

Mmorning all...............((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Its a lovely sunny morning but OH is less than sunny, he has woken up with a bad back due I suspect, to him working in the damp and cold on Thursday putting the fence up round the veg plot and then sitting for most of yesterday. So I have a maony day ahead.

We were going to the Farmers Market in Haddington this morning, not sure if he is going or not. I have a laod of whites in the washing machine, will hang it out before we go out, hopefully I will get it dry outside.

Not sure what I am going to be doing the rest of the day depends oh OH. He is due to play bowls on Monday, will have to wait and see if 'the back' improves. If its not his dizzies its something else!!!

The daffs I bought on Thursday are full out now and make such a lovely splash of yellow on the dining table. A harbinger of things to come???

    Morning :hello:

Master tru has paid back all he owed to us, so is in control of his own cashpoint card again :D Miss tru went to the cashpoint and 'lost' her card. What she meant was - she spent all her money. We knew she was lying, so made her ring for another card, which has just arrived. It's in MY purse, I'm just waiting for the PIN to arrive. She's had some work at Mr tru's place, he's arranged with the finance manager for her wages to go into our account. She can't sign on anymore because she kept turning up late. When the work runs out (probably next week) she'll have nothing. Shame.

I've put their rent up (they think calling it 'rent' means they can do/take whatever they like) by £10 per week. Obviously, I'm now the Evil Demon Mother From Hell :rotfl:

The greenhouses are clean and tidy, the pots and seeds are sorted so I need to get planting - I'm a bit late this year, hopefully it'll all grow. The chickens are laying for England :D Mogs' eggs seem to be getting bigger by the day, she'll injure herself if she's not careful. The wooden shed is halfway through being converted to a hen house, must get that finished, the chicks are growing fast. The kitchen is at a standstill, we're still staring at bare brick walls rolleyes.gif Well, I say bare, they're actually painted a disgusting green colour :D No, we didn't do it :p Been like that for about 40 years, apparently.

I'm going to put my wellies on, get out into the garden and dig through compost :D

    Morning all :)

It seems some of you were getting up as I was going to bed, this morning.

DD2's asthma flared up during the night so I haven't had much sleep.

They're going out with friends today. I did suggest DD2 stay home but that didn't go down well, so taxi is booked for 10 and I will have the whole day to myself :)

It's quite a nice fresh day here, so all the windows are open and the smell of fresh bread is wafting round the house.

I've got a bit of washing to sort and a fair bit of ironing, so I know how I will be spending my free time :D

Hope you all have a good day, whatever you're doing.

    Welcome Kitchenbunny.

    Morning peeps

blustery and sunny here today so the washing is out blowing madly on the line, hope that it stays there

Houndies are walked and now snoozing away happily, the cat is parading around in a bit of a mood and i`m having a quick browse :D

Woke nice and early and was in the garden for 6 earthing up my early potatoes. I have 7 pots of them so hopefully we shall get plenty of spuds, i have a small propagator on the windowsill upstairs and i`ve filled it with compost this morning and planted some flower seeds, cornflowers, cosmos, two types of marigold and something else which has just gone out of my head :p

The rest of the plants have been watered and i`ve done a big rearrange of my freezer. I really need to defrost it soon and there is actually a small space in there atm. I`ve scribbled a new freezer list out and i shall type that up later. The meal planner will be rejigged and i need to make some hm ready meal type things for DH as i`m planning on starting my diet in a few weeks but need to get organised first. I lost over two stone last year low carbing and i`m afraid that i put a lot of it back on :o i`ve been back reading on the lc board for a few weeks to get myself motivated and plan to keep it off this time.

I should be off to the shopping centre to drop in some cleaning and pick up a few bits and pieces but i`m not going :D i should have gone yesterday but i`ve been putting it off as its a bit of a mare at this time of the week, i`m sure that it can wait until Monday.

Tru - Way to go girl :D

Julie67 - Hope that you get some good news soon!

Right i`ve waffled enough so i shall have a few mins on the boards and then go and plant some herbs :D

Have a super sunny Saturday everyone.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Hello people. Just really need a bit of motivation from you all.

This month I am really determined to save as much as I can into my savings account. After the amount I want to save, all bills, food, petrol etc, I will have £25 to last to the end of the month. I don't need anything. ie. shoes, clothes for work - everything has been accounted for. I even have budgeted for a haircut mid month as a treat.

I think it is possible. I have been doing the weekly spend challenge on the debt board since the 1 January this week and I am nearly always under my budget (which is never any more than £10).

Please give me some motivation or share other stories. I am determined to save really hard this year. Thank you fantastic people. :)

  • Can you elaborate on what you're trying to do, please :D

If you want help to keep your grocery budget within manageable levels, then the grocery challenge is the best place for motivation.

Good luck with your challenge :j

Hey PP. What I'm trying to do is just save as much as I can - am saving up to get some decorating done in my house. I want to save as much as possible and after everything has been taken out, I'll have £25 to last the month on non-essential spending.

Does this make sense? :p x
