I used to have strong opinions about bankruptcy, but then took the time to read some of the threads on here and DFW and my opinions were changed by seeing people that had got into difficulty through no fault of their own. Sadly it is people like the OP that gives bankrupts (and this board) the 'soft option' reputation that people so often see. I agree with peachyprice, the OP is taking advantage of the goodwill/ benefit of the doubt shown by posters on this board.

I think it's high time we stopped being judgemental...hindsight is a marvellous thing, is it not?

It appears the OP did recieve advice on here as to the veracity of taking a Provvy loan out......weeks ago...but as is said, the OP tried every which-way to find the cash to purchase an essential item.
The OP is not alone in making rash decisions when under the pressure of debt.

and companies like the Provident take advantage of that.

Probably 99% of posters on this entire forum are 'guilty' of such things.

Whether those decisions resulted in law breaking, or not is irrelevant.

What's done is done......now the OP needs to go forwards.

As I understand things, to embark on a DRO, one has to prove insolvency, in much the same way one does with BR.

In other words, given one's income....after 'reasonable' living expenses are deducted, there are insufficient funds to meet one's debts [re-payments].

That may well have been the case when the OP took out the further Provident loan.....[which the Provvy seem to have used to conslidate previous debts and interest?}.

At the moment the outcome for the OP is speculation.

Once the OP is aware of what actions are to be taken, then we can offer advice as to how to approach things.

don't forget folks, being in debt can be a very lonely place.
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

You posted over a month ago asking what would haen if you did it and were told it was potentially fraud and strongly advised not to do it. You now post saying you have done it this week and didn't know it was wrong. That doesn't make sense, you blatently DID know but went ahead anyway, so you deserve to suffer the consequenses. What you have done is COMPLETELY different to the 'robbing Peter to pay Paul' that so many of us have done, always hoing to find ourselves in a better position.

You don't decide to declare yourself insolvent on a whim, it takes time to realise your position, accept it, find out the process etc - and as you asked about it a month ago please don't make out you only decided days ago. People on here have been in awful situations whilst dealing with their insolvency and I am afraid its people like you that make us all look bad.
im not being contrite or obtsue but i swear i cant remember posting a month ago and asking that question.
can you cope my post for me so i can read it?

All you have to do is search for any posts by yourself. I wasn`t gong to reply to this but after reading your OP it beggars belief that you went ahead and did it anyway. Totally agree with peachy.

lok yesterday i put on this post- got myself into a tricky situation explaining how ive taken a loan out to near a debt relief order and how i am panicking about it being revoked etc etc

i have got an awful lot of stick from people because apparantly a month ago i asked what would happen if i went ahaed and did it

and now epople are rightly wondering, "wer=ll your moaning now because you were told what would happen and you went aheda and did it"

i honestly, honestly honestly am not takig the !!!!.

eveythgn i ahve said ive been upfront- but i dont remeber putting that post up.

im not sayig that as a lousy excuse but i am on medication, whcih i ecplained on my first post, my mind gets cloudy, and it could be that i chose to block the advice from my mind because it didnt fit with my plans and its not what i wanted to hear.

sometimes things dont sink in when you dont want them too. if i had remembered and knew the ranmifications- why oh why would i then send a panciky post asking for advice? when id been told- if i knew what was coming up- why would i panic about it

id really like it if someone could copy and paste this post so i could see what i wrote, as its quite possible i did write it- but for some reason i chose to ignore it- i dont honestly know why i did this- but i can assure you i didnt do this to be an annoying little git ok?

i cans ee how it looks reallybloody stupid- but i honestly must have not been thinking straight and desperately wnated to get some money and for some reason i have told myself maybe that what i was told wouldnt happen to me- are you sure it was actually ME who wrote it?

give me a break ok- i just came on asking for advice- the fact that ive come on here asking for the same advice twice is a genuine over sight probably from my genuine cloudy brain, ok so please, please give me a break. im didnt do it to look a jerk- and i know its looks really annoying and bratty- but for some reason ive chosen to disregard what was told to me, i can only apologise for that- hohneslty and truly and if i offended anyone who took the time out to advise me back then by not listening i am truly sorry. but for some reason it didnt sink in and would people please not give me such a bloody hard time about it.

I have no idea what is going on and can't really make much sense of the OP's post.
