    Thats excellent news!!

I`ve just called to make final payment, they are not able to tell us if it`s a caravan or a chalet til we arrive so, fingers crossed(mind you, if it`s freezing cold, may appreciate a chalet more!lol)

Didn`t bother to upgrade and have taken off the linen as the quilts and pillows are provided so, am happy to take our own bedding.:D

Paid just over 100 in total for 6 of us incl entertainment--am very very happy! Thanks sooo much OP for this. Good things do come to those who wait after all!!!:D

So do you think we will need the vouchers on arrival then? This would be a problem! :embarasse

Also, can anyone shed any light as to what an entertainment pass is actually for - or direct me as to where to look. I am unable to tell if we will need one or not - will we be disappointed if we don't have one? Sorry, I've never been to Butlins so don't quite know what to expect.

    Thanks in advance
    Alfie

I can't imagine butlins asking for newspaper vouchers, they never have done before. If you've got your confirmation letter then that's all you'll need.

At Butlins you MUST have the pass, there's no opting out of it (although babies might be free, I don't know). At some places like Haven sites you get an actual ticket that you have to show the staff when you enter the disco, swimming pool etc. but at butlins they don't use passes, they just make sure that everyone who gets through the gate has paid. They let anyone through the gates during the day (depending on how full they are) for around a tenner each too, so it's easier to just make sure everyone pays.

You just walk onto the fairground rides and use the swimming pool etc. without showing a pass.

The letter states promo linen at 14.00 so,if this is pillow cases and duvet covers only, i will take our own and save the money towards a caravan.

You will need sheets too. My mum always takes her own. I would if I wasn't travelling by train.

My confirmation arrived about half hour ago in the post so I called and made the full payment including the Entertainment Passes. Thank you JellyHead for the info on that one.

Never been before, but now I've been to their site too (searching for the info on the Ents Pass) It has more there than I realised. Really looking forward to our May break now.

Can't thank you enough OP for the link  A great find

As they've now shut the site it does look like an oversight but I'm guessing they have to honour the bookings so looks like you were all lucky. They didn't have the place I wanted available so I'll wait until it's running again in a few months time and then book.
